On 18 March, HR/VP @kajakallas and Icelandic Foreign Minister @thorgkatrin signed the EU-Iceland Security and Defence Partnership Security threats do not stop at borders. We just adopted our 19th sanctions package. It targets Russian banks, crypto exchanges, entities in India and China, among others. The EU is curbing Russian diplomats’ movements to counter the attempts of destabilisation. It is increasingly harder for Putin to fund this war.

Behind every conflict, there are individual stories that do not make headlines.  Russia is the one undermining the prospects of peace. Nobody wants peace more than Ukrainians.

I listened to Minister of Strategic Industry @AKamyshin about Ukrainian defence industry’s capacities and its immediate needs. We discussed ways to provide faster support to Ukrainian defence industry including via the Ukraine Assistance Fund within the European Peace Facility.
