A message from our President to mark Tisha B'Av

Today, we thank our Executive Director, Shelly, as she steps down from her role to pursue new opportunities.

We met with diplomats to the UN from a range of countries, exploring the role these institutions play in shaping international policy, with the programme culminating in a visit to the United Nations Headquarters.

As part of our International Institutions Programme, built around our visit to AJC's Global Forum, our delegation had the chance to dive deep into how global organisations work and how the Jewish world engages with them.

On Shabbat day, we ran a discussion based session in collaboration with @EUJS, tackling some of the big questions we have to deal with as leaders on campus today. Thank you to Moosh and his team for all their hard work making this amazing Shabbaton possible!

On Friday night Josh, our President, and Jonathan, WUJS Board Member, addressed a dinner hosted by the local community. Josh spoke about the power of Jewish student leadership, while Jonathan shared insights on Jewish life in Australia.

Before the Global Forum began, we joined students from across the world for a Campus Shabbaton hosted by AJC, a chance to meet and exchange ideas with student leaders from across the world.

We brought a delegation of emerging Jewish student leaders to the AJC Global Forum, an annual gathering of global Jewish leaders and policymakers in New York, to engage with the wider Jewish community on the international stage. Mazal tov to for @FEJJLA on their award
