WWE is to wrestling what Paramount is to film. I refuse to watch WWE but I can still have pro wrestling be a huge part of my life. Hundreds of the very best pro wrestlers in the world wrestle outside the WWE. You cant say the same for NBA/NFL etc. What a horrific bootlicker.

In fact, Busted Open's rise and success can be directly linked to the rise of the independents & eventually the birth of AEW. Busted Open existed b/c wrestling was thriving outside of WWE. Now, it's just another show. Zero uniqueness. Zero community. Just another "partner" Gross

It's over. Busted Open died today. If anyone tries telling you different, theyre lying. You wont be hearing AEW/ROH/NJPW talk on "WWE Radio" - WWE did this to silence fans & halt growth. Theyre scared, and they should be.

Dave LaGreca has claimed nothing is going to change with Busted Open Radio following the announcement of the partnership with WWE and SiriusXM to rebrand Pro Wrestling Nation 24/7 as WWE Radio. "Every show is going to be exactly the same that you know and love. Busted Open, Notsam Wrestling Live, Off The Ropes, Busted Open After Dark, but now we're going to have the TV simulcast of Raw, of SmackDown, of NXT. We're going to have original SiriusXM productions of every major WWE PLE homegrown right here on WWE Radio… I cannot believe that a show that started for one hour, one day a week, is now going to be partnered with the greatest pro wrestling company, the biggest pro wrestling company, not just now, but ever, in this great sport. And make no mistake about it, if you think I'm letting the foot off the gas, if you think you're not going to get what you're used to hearing from Dave LaGreca on a daily basis, you think I'm going to stop ranting? No!" TThis has been taken with a pinch of salt, however, as ESPN claimed something similar following the beginning of their US media rights deal with WWE, but that ultimately has not been the case, and ESPN stopped giving letter grades for WWE PPVs, reportedly after objections from WWE. The announcement is the latest move by WWE to control the narrative for pro wrestling news. Back in 2021, the company launched a partnership with Bill Simmons' The Ringer. This show helped me see what else was out there and even if I don't enjoy some of those. I listened to Sirus for this but if that's all it is IM OUT
