Amateurs train until they get it right. Professionals train until they can't get it wrong. In the U.S. Army, we train like we fight, staying ready for any threat and any time.

ICYMI: The U.S. Army announced a new Combat Field Test to enhance Soldier readiness last week. This seven-event sequence is scored on a pass-fail basis and must be completed within 30 minutes. Events include: ▪️A one-mile run. ▪️30 dead-stop push-ups. ▪️A 100-meter sprint. ▪️16 lifts of a 40-pound sandbag onto a 65-inch platform. ▪️A 50-meter carry of two five-gallon Army water cans weighing 40 pounds each. ▪️A 50-meter movement drill consisting of a 25-meter high crawl and a 25-meter 3-5 second rush. ▪️A final one-mile run. 🚨Heavy Handed removal of retiree benefits: A retired LCDR was just banned from all Navy bases and facilities in the Hampton Roads area for accidentally having a personal weapon in his vehicle at the base gate checkpoint. The retired naval officer has a Concealed Carry Permit. He also followed all directions provided to him by base security while voluntarily discussing his CC permit and noting that he had mistakenly had the weapon in his vehicle. Security suggested he turn around and come back without the weapon. He did so gladly and immediately returned back through the same gate (without the weapon of course) while the same security guards offered apologies for the inconvenience. The subsequent ban was an unexpected shock and a grave heavy-handed response to an honest mistake. The JAGs and Commander at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek have unilaterally removed all retiree benefits (except retiree pay) from an honorable man. He can no longer attend base functions, work a job on the base, use MWR facilities, or the commissary (military grocery store). Based on Secretary @PeteHegseth’s desire to ensure Second Amendment rights are defended by our Institutions, and that those exercising these rights are not unlawfully weaponized against, I pray this ban is quickly reversed.

remember when the internet was just stuff like this
