After 30 years, my dads retiring from the police! Been able to spend one last shift on the streets with him and take on his collar number.

@mulronie @control_gal @Ex_arv_sgt This brings up the question of: Should detained persons be offered preferential treatment to address the issue quickly, subsequently allowing officers to take them back and resume normal duties sooner. Or should the other members of the public present be seen first? 🤷‍♂️

@mulronie @control_gal @Ex_arv_sgt Custody officers understandably don’t want to run the risk of someone with a potential medical issue to become seriously unwell or worse in the custody environment.

@WYP_DigitalPol Keep forgetting to put it in the feedback form on pronto, but, can we have a refresh button for the logs screen? You currently have to go back to the main menu and then go back into “my incidents” or through your district to get an updated list of logs.

Pronto 15.1.1 seems to have gone out well. Any Feedback? Bouncing screen? New Photos? Niche Search options? What do you think?

@PC_DaybyDay @HuwConquer I was diagnosed with (highly suspected…) ADHD and also Dysgraphia which I had no idea about. OHU were able to provide me a laptop with a SIM card which gives me the same functionality of my device and the keyboard of a desktop. Much easier to type out lengthy entries/statements

@HuwConquer I’ve got dyslexia so actually something that types for me while I talk would cut out reviewing and re typing time that I spend trying to resolve my spelling issues It’s a great idea and I might have to try and find a system that it would work on

What technology can Response Policing use to improve their effectiveness and ability to prevent crime / engage with the local community? (This forms part of an independent research project)

@AWilsonmhealth @SC41946 Personally, I think they’re just too short for the officer wearing them - they’re supposed to be worn over the top of the boot, not be tucked in. (Personally I prefer this as it hides the tied laces which imo looks neater).

@SC41946 Definitely not a fan of trousers tucked into Mags. Change uniform, make it practical but looks too fsg/ military and needlessly so

@CalderBikerXT @511Tactical I do pay for these myself - our uniform stores does not issue them. So my £80 odd has come out my own pocket for them to rip on week two of wearing

@pinkparamedic1 I think there are 5.11s that come in green? They are game changers if you are allowed to were them - think they have ones with build in knee pads too!!

In other news - the issued trousers are the most ill-fitting things in the world When will the force get trousers that fit bigger thighs and smaller waists 😂😂😂

@ADurndell @HertsFedChair1 Should be around £43k now with the most recent pay “rise”, but has been £40k after comp of 7yrs service for 10-15yrs at least? Cost of living rise each year? Disposable income dwindles more and more! It’d be nice to have something to spend on the little time that isn’t sacrificed

Working #OpJemlock in Hudds I stopped a car that had been swerving in lane. On top of the prov driver not being supervised, grounds to search for drugs under S.23 were formed. No drugs - but a Taser was located on the driver and passenger had tools for going equipped. #arrested

Officers, if there was a new button on Pronto next to 'Incident Search' that showed you the logs you had been to in the past 24hrs. What should it be called?

Collected my Queens Platinum Jubilee Medal this afternoon. Grateful for the recognition of service. #queensplatinumjubilee

Crewed with one of our student officers last night. Helped deal with their first ever OPL log and arrest. Arrested, and conducted evidential procedure in custody with lowest reading of 109 - over 3 times the legal limit! Charged to court. #OPL #DontDrinkDrive #fatal4

T5 Pudsey in for the late shift this afternoon but I’m in early as I was supposed to be at court tomorrow, but that’s been cancelled. We’ll see what the night brings!!

I’ve had a bit of a break from twitter for some time now. A lot has changed for me at work, I’ve moved away from our RPU department due to some unforeseen circumstances and have been back at a patrol team for nearly a whole year. I hope the new year has been kind to you all!
