@cbs_ke An exchange is two-way; this is a barrage of insults not an exchange because we have not heard a word from the insulted.

@aomenya When Siaya was handed octogenarians to run the county affairs, sidelining the young persons who rightfully own the future! Oburu and Orengo should retire from county politics in 2027.

@sholard_mancity What does the law say about it? I asked and was told that it is embedded in regulations emanating from the Communications Commission. This is going to be interesting!

A Kenyan by the name Elias Wekesa has taken Safaricom to court, and every Kenyan should pay attention.
He says Safaricom deactivated his line after it stayed inactive for a few months, then reassigned it to another person.
When he tried using it again, he was met with a shock.
The number was gone.
Worse, he says he could no longer receive OTPs from his bank and other platforms tied to that number.
This case matters because it touches every Kenyan.
Because your phone number is no longer just a number.
It is tied to your bank account.
Your email.
Your work accounts.
Your private life.
The moment that number is handed to someone else, the risks begin.
OTPs can go elsewhere.
Recovery codes can land in another person’s hands.
Account alerts can reach a stranger.
That person is not just holding a SIM card.
They may be holding access to parts of your digital life.
And if they have bad intentions, the damage can be immediate.
And for families who have lost loved ones, it cuts even deeper.
A parent’s number.
A sibling’s number.
A loved one’s number.
One day, it holds memories.
The next day, it belongs to a stranger.
This is why Safaricom must be forced to create stronger safeguards before reassigning numbers.
Because in today’s world, a phone number is not disposable.
It is identity.
And identity should never be reassigned without protection.

I swear sometimes I want to scream!
How long are we going to be slaves?
And this @citizentvkenya how do you cover such a story in such a biased way?
You are not even guilty?
A samburu boy shot by a white rancher boy, 15 years old
He shot him allegedly as they hunted hyenas at night. So why did the white boy have a gun and the samburu boy not have a gun?
Citizen TV shows the boy shot but never shows the white boy and the father arrested.
The father and son arrested were charged in court and released on 1.5 M bond. But we did not see the two in Court.
We are still slaves in this Country
This is annoying
English

@AyoyiPatrick @MaryK2022 @citizentvkenya Would it have been any better if he was killed by a licensed gun owner?
English

@WabuyDenis @MaryK2022 @citizentvkenya How ..is it accidental when the person who had the gun and shot this young boy ..is not liscenced to carry a gun in this country

@business Did you know that Nairobi, during the British administration before Kenyatta destroyed the nation, resembled any first-world nation at the time? President @WilliamsRuto should not be afraid to be a dictator since democracy has failed to achieve anything meaningful.
Emmanuel Kimutai Motelin@EmmanuelMotelin
In the 1960s, Nairobi CBD was organized and well planned, with practically zero culture of disorder. There was a notable absence of hawkers, sidewalks were clearly paved and free from damage, the city was also free of garbage, and the grass was well maintained. This was the state of Kenya under British admin, roughly 3 years before attaining internal self-rule. No other East African country was this civilized at the time!

Fred Matiang’i: If a serious guy like me is president, this culture of goonism will end soon. If a firm, no-nonsense manager like me is president, there will be no goons. Where and how will they operate? I understand the structure of this country. Goonism is reflecting, and it’s an accurate representation of that government #CitizenSundayLive

@MuraguriKiriko @KTNNewsKE Nyinyi ni rich uncle wa Africa. Lipa bana 😃😃!

@KTNNewsKE I call horse manure! So you are saying that we get to pay more because we are rich?...we mzee huwa unakula nini? Which middle income are you talking about?..yenye hospitali hazina dawa, mayout hawana mboka and systems are failing?...let me tell you william, utajuwa hujui mzee.
English

President William Ruto: I know many people in Kenya keep asking why is it that sometimes the prices of fuel are different in Kenya from our neighbors. Kenya is a middle-income country. Our neighbors are least developed countries. There is a big difference. If you want to compare Kenya fairly with others, compare Kenya with other middle-income countries.

We all saw Uhuru attending parties and concerts in the country, and everyone was happy to see him regardless of their political affiliations.
We all saw Uhuru attending Formula One Grand Prix in Abu Dhabi, and no one was angry about it.
How did Uhuru do it? How did he manage to have Kenyans behind him? How?
Ruto can not even go to Church without facing hostility and someone shouting WANTAM. I mean, he can not even do the right thing. I wonder what would happen to him if he dared attend a concert.
You see it all trickles down to EMPATHY. Uhuru was empathetic to the plights of Kenyans. Ironic, isn't it? That one born of privilege and status understands basic tenets of human plight, unlike the low born Ruto, who should automatically be empathetic since he too has experienced them.
The masses just want to feel valued, appreciated, and understood. It makes the burden bearable.
Someone please tag the video of Uhuru dancing with NYS cadets.

William Ruto and Uhuru Kenyatta differ mainly in their approach to managing the economy and supporting citizens.
Under Kenyatta's administration, the govt cushioned Kenyans through subsidies: like, fuel subsidies introduced in 2021 helped stabilize pump prices, and maize flour subsidies reduced the cost of unga.
However, many of these interventions were financed through borrowing, contributing to a growing public debt and high interest repayment obligations that ultimately fell on taxpayers. (Y'all can't deny this)
William Ruto has taken a different approach by scaling back subsidies and focusing on fiscal discipline.
His administration removed fuel subsidies, leading to higher pump prices in the short term, but argued that this prevents the country from accumulating unnecessary debt.
Instead, his (William Ruto's) govt has emphasized targeted support- like fertilizer subsidies for farmers and cash transfer programs for vulnerable groups- while aiming to reduce reliance on loans and ease the long-term burden of interest repayments on Kenyans.

Netizens have criticized Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya for placing a bold inscription on a house he donated to a local musician, arguing that the prominent branding detracts from the act of charity.
The house features a clearly visible sign stating it was "Fully Funded by George Natembeya Foundation".
The foundation has handed over houses to legendary Luhya musicians, including Wanyonyi Omukoyi in Bungoma County and Peter Wanundu in Trans Nzoia.
