مور اومنی وور ہوتےہیں، انکی خوراک میں چھوٹےموٹے کیڑےمکوڑے، بچھو،سانپ، بیریز, جنگلی فروٹس اور بیج وغیرہ شامل ہیں۔ خشک سالی کے موسم میں انسانی آبادیوں کےآس پاس خوراک مل جانے کی امید پر زیادہ نظرآتے ہیں جبکہ مون سون بارش کے بعد گھاس اگتی ہے جہاں کیڑے مکوڑوں اور جنگلی فروٹس کی فروانی ہوجاتی ہے تو مور وسیع علاقے میں پھیل جاتے ہیں۔
یہ سوشل ہوتے ہیں اور گروپس میں رہتے ہیں گروپ میں ڈامیننٹ یا طاقتور نر نئے جوان ہوتے نروں سے اپنے حرم کی حفاظت کرتا ہے۔
لاحق خطرات میں مسکن کا سکڑنا، انسانی آبادی میں اضافہ، اربنائیزیشن، انفرا اسٹرکچر و سڑکوں کی تعمیر، بجلی کی لائینز، مور کے بچوں کا اغوا اور مسکن سے انڈوں کی چوری ہونا شامل ہے۔ مزید ایک سنگین خطرہ کی نشاندھی ضروری ہے۔ ایک عشرے سے چند این جی اوز اور رانی کھیت ویکسین بنانے کی لیبارٹریز کی ملی بھگت سے اس معصوم پرندے کے حوالے سے رانی کھیت بیماری پھیلنے کا پرچار ہوا۔ فنڈس حاصل کرنے کے چکر میں مور کو نظرانداز کرنے کے بیانیے پر حکومت وقت کےخلاف پروپگنڈا کیا گیا۔ سوفیصد سائینسی اشو پر نان ٹیکنیکلز جذباتی تحریریں و تقریریں کرتے نظر آئے۔
سکڑتے مسکن، بڑھتی انسانی آبادی و موسمیاتی تبدیلیاں مور کے لیے خوراک کے مسائل لائی ہیں ان حالات میں مور اہل دل و قلم سے سائنسی سلوک کی توقع رکھتا ہے۔ غیر سائنسی ماھرین کے مجوزہ نظریات کہ موروں کی آبادی کو ویکسین کرنی چاہیے، رد کرنے اور تحقیق ضرورت ہے۔
