Congratulations to newly minted PhD from the lab, Dr. Melody Iacino. She had what some remarked as one of the best defenses they've seen. It was stellar. She will be missed as she is off to Univ. of Michigan for a PD.

Got home from the @UAB_CNC retreat to find I had missed this promotion letter in my inbox over the past few days. Fitting for the "serious" lab retreat photo we took this year. Sincere thanks to the awesome scientists in the lab as well as many mentors that made this possible!

My beloved mom passed away peacefully on June 16, 2024. She loved fiercely, laughed loudly and welcomed everyone (and anyone) into her home and heart. We will honor my mom this Sat, June 22, 2024 (details below). Please feel free to join us as we remember her.

My final postdoc paper is 'finally' out and published in NatNeu. I consider this the best work I have been involved in. Here, we present evidence of a systematic change in how the striatal dopamine signal integrates reward time horizons.
