A-Train, Black Noir I & II, Stan Edgar and Oh Father are black.
Victoria Neuman was middle eastern and The Naqib is Syrian.
Kenji Miyashiro was East Asian, too. It's not the lot, but they did bad stuff.

Considering the common Zoomer issues (spending life online, no community, no life progression, etc.), it's a shame that MMOs are a mostly dormant genre. It'd be a better reality substitute for our circumstances than whatever we have now.

It spoiled me for most future MMOs, my sister convinced me to play EQ after and it felt like playing in molasses and deleveling as you advanced comparatively.
The thistledown defense had the players hold off the hopeslayers release for months after he broke free on every other server. It was fantastic to watch play out, key was the fact monsters could level from defeating players. So while most of the defenders fought off the attacking players/named npcs, other defenders sacrificed themselves to make the crystal they were guarding nigh unkillable and godlike.
The monster leveling could also rise to some amusing stuff outside that event as well.

@Magicianman20 I think there is a difference between Matt Mercer the DM, and Matt Mercer performing for critical role. The performance aspect has seen the show go downhill. Back at the start of season 1 when they weren't trying to out drama one another and tell an epic story it was fun.

I get occasional flack for being a modern D&D player and using weird races in my games But it's like this, I tell players humans are a playable race and they each get to contribute an additional one. Some players add dwarves and elves, and others add phoenix people and frogfolk. My preference is to play human because I like the feeling of playing a mundane character in a fantastical world, but I have 16 players in my game as of now and they each have their own taste and I think the world is more tailored to my group if everyone adds something that they enjoy, even if it's not my preference.

it sounds like nice, good lefty catechism but if one is going to say "they rarely handle it bravely" then presumably he is thinking of a significant number of formerly powerful men who faced death and nearly all of them did not handle it well. so what are the examples?

No D&D campaign today should be over 2 years long. If you go longer than that I don't want advice on how you did it. I want to give you advice on being aware that no one at your table is changing, growing or being challenged. This isn't the '80s.

Campaign longevity is the only reasonable measure If you run a 3 month long campaign that meets regularly, you're starting to win At 1 year, you won 10 years and I want to know everything you did to master the craft so that I can put your wisdom to use
