@UtdRom The use of var was to simplify and legalise biases in football not to reduce human error

🗣🎙|| Roy Keane on VAR mistakes in the league:
Yeah, but they looked at it[unclear decision] , didn't they?
I was Shown something last week where VAR has admitted 24 mistakes, isn't it?
They came up with this VAR, which is supposed to be taking human error of the game from officials or whatever, and they're still at 24 major decisions wrong.
Yet they're looking at it for a minute and still getting it wrong. 24, not four, but 24. That's a lot. It's big.

Ten incidents, among many, showing how referees and VAR helped Arsenal win the league this season:
1. Gifted a goal despite a clear foul on Bayındır vs United.
2. Denied a blatant penalty on Cunha from Saliba’s challenge.
3. That Gabriel dive vs Spurs, which led to the equaliser being cancelled.
4. Raya’s punch on João Pedro went unpunished.
5. Clear handball from Rice vs Chelsea inside the box.
6. Kick on Everton Barry’s foot inside the box, yet no penalty given.
7. Denied a penalty against Gabriel vs Newcastle despite his hand being raised.
8. Punch on Woltemade’s face, yet nothing was done.
9. West Ham’s equaliser disallowed while blatant fouls inside the box were ignored.
10. Havertz escaped a red card despite a horrendous challenge vs Burnley.

🗣🎙| Roy Keane on the Havertz tackle:
“If that wasn’t a red card, then I don’t know what is. If it was Casemiro making that challenge, they probably would’ve sent him into exile.”
It’s becoming almost impossible to get through a game without referees getting a major decision wrong.
Arsenal certainly won’t be escaping the “referee favourites” allegations after this one."

🚨🎙️| Wayne Rooney:
“People always say I hate Arsenal, but I actually don’t. What I hate is inconsistency in football. Every single week we’re told referees will protect players and punish dangerous tackles, but then when it’s Arsenal, suddenly the rules change.
I watched that Kai Havertz challenge again and honestly, if that was any other club, especially a mid-table side, it’s a straight red card without hesitation. No debates, no excuses, no long VAR checks trying to save the decision. But because it’s Arsenal, the referee found a way around it.
That’s what frustrates fans across the league. People are scared to say it because Arsenal supporters immediately think it’s hate or jealousy, but it’s not. It’s about fairness. You can’t spend all season talking about standards and then ignore a clear sending off because of the badge on the shirt.
And then Arsenal fans wonder why rival supporters complain. You can’t ask for consistency while benefiting from inconsistent decisions every other week. For me, Kai Havertz was lucky to stay on the pitch, very lucky.”
