PGMO created the entire circus with:
1) Rules that are open to interpretation
2) A VAR System that isn't fit for purpose, including some who operate it
3) Referees who are, in some instances, inept

Little consolation to Nottingham Forest but at least PGMO has acknowledged the referee was wrong to allow Matheus Cunha’s goal for Manchester United after Bryan Mbeumo clearly handled. He trapped the ball, controlled it. VAR intervened, encouraged the referee to look at the monitor and consider overturning his wrong decision, but the referee stuck with his decision. VAR was not the problem. VAR recommended the goal be disallowed. Fortunately, there was nothing riding on the game. Otherwise, the game could possibly have been looking at a legal dispute.

Just catching up here... this was allowed??? How? Have your view about VAR but if they've pointed out a blatant handball and the referee has overruled it we might as well pack up and go home.

@GingerFil7 that’s the thing. It doesn’t deflect. The ball is controlled. had it deflected on to his hand/arm clearly and then went to ground for the pass, by this AI summary, I’d be saying there’s an argument for it to be allowed. the ball is slowed enough to gain control. Rule is trash 🤷
