Truth first. Not tribe, not ideology, not outcome. Truth first, and all else follows.

There is no shame in missing someone who once felt like home, even if you can’t go back. Some people become familiar in a way that settles into your chest, and that feeling doesn’t disappear just because circumstances change. Missing them doesn’t mean you’re weak or stuck—it simply means what you shared mattered. Home isn’t always a place you return to; sometimes it’s a feeling that taught you what warmth once felt like. Not going back is an act of self-respect, not denial. You can honor the comfort they once gave you while still choosing a path that protects your peace now. Growth often asks us to carry memories without reopening old doors. And in time, you’ll realize that missing someone doesn’t pull you backward it reminds you of how deeply you’re capable of loving, and how carefully you now choose where to belong.

Karma is Real

I once carried resentment toward someone for years not because of a single betrayal, but because of how casually they caused harm and moved on as if nothing mattered. From the outside, it looked unfair. They laughed freely, socialized easily, and appeared untouched by the damage they left behind. For a long time, I wanted justice to look dramatic. I imagined consequences that matched the hurt. I thought peace would come when life finally “paid them back.” But something unexpected happened. As time passed, I began to notice patterns in their life. Relationships never lasted. Trust never stayed. Opportunities slipped through their hands because people eventually recognized the same behavior I once excused. They were constantly starting over new friendships, new environments, new explanations for why things kept falling apart. And that’s when I understood something quietly profound: Character is not just moral, it is consequential. An immoral person doesn’t escape punishment; they carry it internally. Dishonesty destroys trust. Manipulation isolates. Lack of integrity quietly erodes stability. Even when consequences aren’t immediate, they accumulate over time in loneliness, instability, and dissatisfaction. People who consistently wrong others often live in cycles they cannot escape because the problem travels with them. You don’t need revenge when someone’s habits already guarantee unrest. The peace you seek rarely comes from watching someone suffer. It comes from realizing you are no longer living the kind of life that produces that behavior. Healing moves you forward while unresolved character keeps them repeating the same lessons. Sometimes the greatest justice is distance. Because while you’re growing, rebuilding, and finding peace, they remain confined to the consequences of who they choose to be every day. And there’s a quiet truth in that realization: You cannot punish someone more severely than their own unchecked character eventually will.

@1ssve Yeah… sometimes we don’t lose friends, we outgrow illusions. Some people were just there for a phase...not for the journey.

Elizabeth Shaw - Overcoming Narcissist Abuse.
A narcissist's cycle: Nothing happened. If it did, stop bringing it up. If you won't, you're holding a grudge. If you're not, you're just trying to make me look bad. And if I look bad, you're the toxic one.

@libriscent They label you "toxic" because they can’t handle the reflection of the damage they caused. Reactionary grief isn’t a character flaw; it’s the sound of a spirit breaking. You didn't change; you survived. Don't let the person who broke you be the one who defines you.
