Want to give a huge shout out to @Plague_Circus and @eastonaesthetic for helping to get my poetry collection “PURE YOUTH” out there. It chronicles poems written across 15 years of life including all the angst, loss, heartbreak, alcoholism, myth and decline along the way. Even if you aren’t normally a poetry reader I’d encourage you to check it out. It’s not full of itself or ornate. It’s earnest, heartfelt verse that will resonate with you. It’s a kind of eulogy to a specifically American youth that I know so many people will relate to .

“PURE YOUTH”, the poetry collection by Wallace Mack, author of the cult novel “Corndog Zen”, is now available to buy in paperback. A heartfelt collection that includes poems published by Passage Press and Apocalypse Confidential. a.co/d/07maZaq5

@prowrstlngstrng I don't think it's going to be collapse territory, but people who have been living pretty extravagantly for the last 30 years are going to start feeling it. I think the crunch regular people are already feeling in Canada rn is a canary in the coal mine.

@WallaceMack_ We were blessed to live in a time of anomaly for wealth But you are correct in that the future will resemble what much of the past looked like

US Post-war abundance was a squandered historical anomaly. We are returning to the historical mean, where everyone is just kind of poor now. Shame it went this way. It didn't have to.

I think the RW/MAGA collapse shows that people in that coalition aren't as foolish as their opponents painted them. They had policy directives and a vision. Once they realized that MAGA was a scam, they got out. The only people left now are those being paid.

Whether the judges realize it or not the reason they want the whole world characterized as citizens is because at that point you’re no longer a citizen and instead a client. Citizens have pesky rights. You can just terminate clients.

To experience art, solely through an interpretive lens, is an antiquated practice. It asserts there are correct and incorrect methods to approaching or discussing art. It posits that art wants to be understood. In reality, no artist really understands what takes hold of them

@WallaceMack_ @HellenicVibes @PrinceVogel Opposite. Without language we are thoughtless Many own a smart cat or clever dog, they are cognitive beings,no doubt. But to say an animal has ideas is ludicrous. That’s because they do not have the subtle instrument, the 6th sense, which is available to us but not them—language

I understand the drive to hicklarp. Certain type of dude just wants to dress like he's in the dust bowl and sit on his porch.

I can sort of see normal and neurodivergent populations breaking off and living in alternate civilizations on a long enough time frame.

@churrascooooo There were also many, many stupid moves. Lots of rakes that didn’t have to be stepped on. ACB was his choice too. I think saying the system is too broken to fix, while partially true, majorly downplays the incompetence and forced errors.

Americans wanted an end to worthless foreign wars and less dysfunction at home. We are getting none of that.
