14 years ago today, on March 1, 2010, @NASAJPL's Mars rover Spirit captured this view comprising its final pancam images showing one of its wheels stuck in soft sand around an area in Gusev Crater called Home Plate. Communication from Spirit ended 3 weeks later.

@ThePlanetaryGuy My understanding of the geophysical limitations of the VERITAS repeat-pass interferometry measurements are all volcanic and driven by what @SueSmrekar chose to put in the Concept Study Report. She's the one to ask.

@ThePlanetaryGuy I don't know why not. Ground motion is ground motion, yes? But of course that you're asking makes me question that assumption. I've certainly seen interferograms from earthquakes...
As you know, I'm little better than a reasonably well-read layperson when it comes to geophysics.
