It only took a few minutes to arrest 21-year-old Kai Cenat and charge him for inciting a riot in New York. But it took 2 1/2 years to arrest 77-year-old Donald Trump for the riot he caused in Washington, DC. And he still wasn’t charged for inciting it.

If a person has enough money it can shield them from almost any societal problems that are out there, and this can lead rich people to often (rather understandably) believe that—because they are immune to societal laws, they are similarly immune to nature's laws.

Habba: I think that realistically you have to remember that a lot of these cases deal with classified documents which mean that all the lawyers now have to apply for special clearance, right? You can’t just take a classified document and review it. You have to have scifs.

Judge has options short of putting Trump in jail. Were it another defendant, for example, she’d instruct lawyers to have him present on Aug 28 for a stern dressing down followed by “do you understand”’s? That loss of control and infantilization would be humiliating for him.

Trump's not going to an actual prison and never was. The fact that many others just as dangerous, or worse, are being lett untouched is one strong clue that justice went the same way as the pandemic. And possibly the economy soon. We are being boxed in.
