Today, my office joined Commissioner Rodney Ellis and District Attorney Sean Teare to announce that we will support funding through Commissioners Court for the DA's independent investigation into the killing of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo.
After a series of inconsistent statements and a lack of transparency from the federal government, we are taking action locally.
The Salgado family deserves the truth, and we will seek it.
