@Thales_0614 @ZegrasTrevor Your giving up a lot and taking on a huge contract. Carlsson, Gauthier, Sennecke all need to be paid. LaCombe kicks in at 9 mil next year. If you don’t resign Kreider and Killorn that’s frees up 13 million. Then you can trade McTavish and Zellweger and trade for Matthews
English

@Walts54 @ZegrasTrevor Matthews would also be a great help on defense; it's not just the defenders who defend. I would honestly accept that offer and try to bring in another defender in free agency. Furthermore, being close to 30 isn't a bad thing; we need experience for the playoffs

@bennyjohnson Haha you dumb ass, keep your friends close and your enemies closer!

@marlene4719 Omg Trump if you ever told the truth you would have a heart attack

@Michael_Traikos McKenna is not a centre, why not try to get more picks and assets to help build for the future. Leafs don’t have a 1st rounder in 27 and 28. McKenna will not help the Leafs make the playoffs next year.

Memo to the Leafs: Don't overthink this.
Do not trade down for more picks. Do not overreach and take a defenseman or centre. Don't get cute.
Just select McKenna with the No. 1 pick and be happy that you've got a younger & cheaper version of Mitch Maner.

The NHL Alumni Association is heartbroken to learn that John Garrett has passed away at the age of 74.
From Trenton, Ontario, Canada, John’s professional hockey journey began after the St. Louis Blues drafted him in the 1971 NHL amateur draft, joining the Blues’ affiliate club in Kansas City the following season.
John joined the World Hockey Association (WHA) ahead of the 1973-74 season, playing 323 regular-season games in the WHA before his Hartford Whalers joined the NHL in 1979.
On October 11, 1979, John made his NHL debut, with the Whalers taking on the North Stars at the Metropolitan Sports Center. John played parts of three seasons with Hartford before joining the Quebec Nordiques in January 1982, and later played with the Vancouver Canucks over parts of the following three seasons, concluding his NHL playing career.
John began his broadcasting career shortly thereafter, becoming a colour commentator for CBC’s Hockey Night in Canada in 1986. Now 16 years into his broadcasting career, John returned to Vancouver as the primary colour commentator for regional games, and proudly served in the role until the conclusion of the 2022-23 NHL season.
Those who knew John will tell you about his love for the game of hockey, his kindness, and his sense of humour.
We send our deepest condolences to John’s family, friends, and former teammates during this incredibly difficult time.

Lindsey Graham: "If you don't think $400m of taxpayer is a good investment to create a secure facility at the White House ... the number one job of national security would be to protect the commander in chief, and to have infrastructure under the ballroom that is very national security-centric."
