@michaelgove Ok I'll bite. The curriculum - narrow, overstuffed with content and not developmentally appropriate for a sizeable proportion of children. Resulting in unhappy children who've lost their love of learning and increased SEND. Also covid, raac, underfunding, money to mat CEOs...

Suicidal thoughts are more common than you’d imagine BUT we are not our thoughts Perhaps things have built up, you’re overwhelmed or can’t see how things can improve Can you try to ‘stay safe’ for now? StayingSafe.net has ideas for a way through how you’re feeling ❤️

Eight months ago, Rebel had a dog ice cream here. Every time we go past, she goes on walking strike and looks hopeful.

@PhilBeadle Hi Phil, sorry to hear this. Take things one minute, one hour at a time doing whatever supports you to stay. I know it's exhausting, but it will pass. Look after yourself even though you may not feel like it. Sleep if you can. Chat to anyone about mindless stuff. Take care x

Remembering the hidden history of disabled people in the Holocaust. The demonising of ‘useless eaters’, the propaganda to convince ordinary citizens that they were a drain on the resources of the State & the complicity of medics in euthanasia are lessons we should heed. Never more relevant. #HolocaustMemorialDay #Eugenics

Book recommendations please for a 10 year old girl who doesn’t see the need to read fiction as, “it’s not like I’m ever going to be a book writer is it!” She is football crazy - women’s not men’s. She loves reading football autobiographical stuff but her teacher wants fiction!

Two things I'm struggling with as a Qualified EP. 1) The sheer volume of report writing that I feel you are protected from as a TEP 2) The significant lack of physical activity, primarily caused by the report writing Feel like I'm morphing into Mr Blobby 🐷 #TwitterEPS

@thosethatcan I dislike change, as it feels a hassle. Have managed to block most of the stressful stuff. It's not the same here though....

So, who from my amazing, life-changing network is still here? And what do we gain by sticking around? Because all this anti-woke and frankly terrifying stuff getting to me more than ever.

This was definitely worth my time this morning. If you work with children and families I would recommend. Not an easy listen, take care of yourself if you find echoes of your own experience in what Vic is saying.

Ok, not gonna lie, this almost broke me to do, but I did it. Standby for triggering conversation - I know it gave me nightmares for a few days afterward. Opening Pandora’s Box was a challenge but hopefully it helps at least one person 🙏

@AndyKeay I always click on those 'psychologists say...' articles looking for vindication that 25 years in I am indeed a proper psychologist! Today I have been mainly coping with stressful news by playing various songs about us politics on repeat.(Other self help strategies are available)
