@2s38_deri @TyVanBuskirk There's no incentive to ever do a no-mercy run. You don't get any interesting scenes like with weird route, you just get an empty castle town It feels very half-baked, like Toby himself is asking why you're still attacking enemies in his games after undertale. It sucks.

Funny thing about Chapter 5. In almost all of your encounters against the flowers, you are normally unable to win through fighting. However, if you have every possible attack boosting item, you can beat Yellow and Blue through fighting… which crashes the game. #deltarune

@ssunsetjippery @cafefiorentini I think they were meant to be a reference to old JRPGs with limited voice-acting, so they only had a few lines recorded for non-important dialogue that they'd just put in and sometimes didn't fit the context perfectly.

@Aksy_the_gay @BirdInABirdcage I think Toby is excellent at pinpointing the core of what makes a good character design but is bad at actually drawing them properly, so as a result you have sprites that look mid to bad from a technical perspective but they're NOT boring or uninteresting at all.

i was recently thinking that if the shadow crystals allow you to see the real world while in a dark world and are created with broken dreams, could it be that the reason the knight is that powerful is because they dont dream, they dont play pretend and do actual damage

Though they better make the chapters consistent after the ending because it feels weird as hell right now.

Undertale is like a good short story that says what it needed to say and end before getting it gets tiring VS Deltarune which feels like a book trilogy.

The guns sound good so is the reaction you get after you shoot them, what do you want when you say you need 'good gameplay'?
