My take, itu bukan soal “sifat asli”
It’s a stress response.
Ketika seseorang dihadapkan dengan situasi yang stressful, secara insting setiap kita akan berubah ke mode defensif. Orang saat di mode defensif ini akan banyak mengeluarkan energi ataupun sikap negatif, kenapa? Karena dirinya merasa terancam.
Ada perceived threats di dalam otak mereka.
For me, itu bukan “sifat asli”, human behavior itu kompleks, kita ga bisa judge one’s character based on one event, apalagi di situasi yang stressful.

mau tau sifat asli seseorang? nah, ajakin lah dia traveling. Disitu akan keliatan semuaa emosi nya, egosentrisme nya, gengsi nya dan cara dia memperlakukan orang lain. Karena pada saat laper, capek, dan kadang rencana enggak sesuai ama yang dia mau, yang keluar itu bukan lagi pencitraan tapi sifat aslinya. Traveling itu ya, bukan cuma soal mem filter tapi tentang melihat versi asli seseorang tanpa topeng.
