Ruby's green fingers! Last week we shared photos of Play Leader Lucy harvesting the first Ward L30 courgette 🥒 This week patient Ruby has been helping out in the @WardL30 garden by watering the raised beds in the sunshine 🌞 What will we be harvesting next!? 🍅🌶🥕🥦

Some new additions to the Ward walls this week!😍A place for our lovely thankyou cards and pictures & space to let colleagues know they’re appreciated🤗 It’s important to remember kindness and gratitude in this tough time, we are grateful to have a team who are sharing the love❤️

We are really focused on maintaining the wellbeing of our team 🧘🏻‍♀️Our new way of encouraging this is with the 10:10:10 theory🥰 We have posters up to encourage everyone to use this technique to rationalise worries & manage feelings 🤗 Why not try this technique in your daily life!

Last week it was Leeds Safeguarding Week - and we took the opportunity to celebrate our great safeguarding practice, as well as raising awareness for the importance of safeguarding families! 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦👩‍👩‍👦‍👦👨‍👧‍👦 #WeWillListen @LeedsSCP

We are wishing the best of luck to our AMAZING HCA Zineb as she goes off on her next adventure as a Nurse on the Neonatal Unit 👶🏻❤️ We are so grateful to have had her as part of our team, we are so sad to see her go - Neonates are so lucky to have her! She is an absolute star⭐️

Happy International Nurses Day!👩🏻‍⚕️ We are appreciating Nurses all around the world, including a celebration for Eid ❤️ We want to pay tribute to all nurses, and we are so proud to have such a diverse group of staff to teach us about other amazing cultures on this special day 😍

Today we took part in a showcase to appreciate and celebrate all the amazing work our wards do at this Children’s Hospital! It was great to hear the amazing achievements of all the other wards as well as reflecting on our own success! Happy International Nursing Week!

This week we have started our “Focus on us” initiative - to make sure we are looking after ourselves 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 We will be doing activities and competitions, to keep our team spirit strong 💪🏻❤️ Firstly, we have “guess who”! Can you spot any of our nurses?👀

Here is our Perfect Ward wall 😁 We’re always striving to be the best we can be for our patients - and this new initiative is a way to show us where we can do better and what we’re doing great at, as well as giving us a chance to think of our own ideas to make our ward perfect✅

Today we have implemented our new time & money saving emergency boxes! 📦🚨 They keep everything we need for emergencies in one place, whilst also keeping them clean and sealed away to prevent waste caused by throwing away items after a patient stays in a room!♻️
