@CoffindafferFBI Wow. These folks got incredibly lucky, all things considered. The impact basically knocked both aircraft out of flight!

Flying is so dangerous. Four crew were reported safe after two Navy EA-18G Growler jets collided at the Gunfighter Skies Air Show in Idaho. Glad they survived.

I have no doubt that there are people deluded enough to commit murder to advance their political ideology. It's not that prevalent in the U.S., but it does happen. The share of politically motivated murders since 2020: - Islamism: 21% - Left-wing: 22% - Right-wing: 54% We'd be looking at that 54% Sauce: cato.org/blog/political…

“he’s trying to drive LE toward Mexico, and public sentiment against immigrants. This all happened at the height of the ICE protests” Diving deeper into this theory, we must then ask ourselves who would overall benefit from that public sentiment? Who doesn’t like reporters/media enough to target them/their family?

IMO: Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance was a murder for hire staged to look like a kidnapping for ransom.

I think the suspect has forensics expertise. It could be a really dedicated true crimer or LE enthusiast, but it's a big leap to go from reading about perfect crimes to committing one. But I totally agree that the reason will not make sense at all. I mean, how could it? Poor Nancy.

@WarpedWingLabs @TrueCrimeBelieb @PrudencePDub I really think it’s going to be something wild like that though. Maybe it won’t be so on the nose, but I bet the person has a connection to KVOA. It could be an audio technician or a janitor, not necessarily another anchor.

@gp_juist @TrueCrimeBelieb Yes! Totally delulu. I think the suspect expected the crime to cause something to happen that hasn't really happened. Could be like Manson's bloody scrawls at Sharon Tate's house. He wanted to start a race war and thought it was imminent - it wasn't.

@WarpedWingLabs @TrueCrimeBelieb I think that you’re on the right track with it all being the same guy. I also think that this is some sort of strange fantasy crime, from someone who probably delusional, living in an alternate reality. Even the outfit was a part of the fantasy.

@druser @TrueCrimeBelieb Yes, the cartel cosplay was no accident. No "real" criminal would holster a gun like that. Do you think the suspect could be current or former LE? They seem to have gotten ahead of all the usual forensic leads, as far as we know, anyway.

@WarpedWingLabs @TrueCrimeBelieb I think their grudge was with current PCSD, Nanos, the Guthries and everyone who supported/shared their very vocal views on immigration. I think they wanted both Nanos incompetency spotlighted and immigrants/cartels blamed. Porch guy’s “cartel-ish” appearance is no accident.

@druser @TrueCrimeBelieb Totally could be more than one involved. If this crime wasn’t for money, then there must’ve been some other goal or ideology that would motivate multiple people to commit it. Politics or religion would have to be up there on the list. What do you think the goal was with Nancy?

@WarpedWingLabs @TrueCrimeBelieb I share your entire theory, though I do think there were 2 people involved and neither would ever sell out the other because both would lose everything they value. I don’t think their motive was ever $ and I don’t think Nancy dying was a part of their plan.

Yeah, I don't think it was a real kidnapping for ransom, either. I do think the ransom notes were from the perpetrator. Just that they were BS. I'd be fascinated to know what forensic linguistics experts know about the writer. They must've built up some sort of profile just from that alone.

@WarpedWingLabs Agreed, my second theory does have to do with the November special. The problem with that is that I just don’t believe this was a real kidnapping for ransom so it doesn’t work for me anymore although I know it’s possible.

@PrudencePDub @TrueCrimeBelieb As a theory, it does tick a lot of boxes - from what we know publicly, at least. I dread for when we find out why Nancy was abducted. It's going to be such a pathetic little reason.

@WarpedWingLabs @TrueCrimeBelieb When Nancy was first taken I wondered if something to do with politics. Because of everything going on at the time. So I get this maybe having to do with ow the peep felt about immigration.

This is a great read. Interesting theory on the Nancy Guthrie case. 👇👇👇👇
WarpedWing@WarpedWingLabs

Well, if you ask… ;) No, I don’t think the ransom was a serious attempt to get money, only terrorize. Moving money out of the bitcoin account is too risky, too traceable. The suspect would happily let $6M sit in the wallet forever, untouchable. The FBI knew this and likely dissuaded the Guthries from paying it. I think porch guy, the ransomer, and “the rat” informer are all the same guy, just different characters with a singular goal. I believe we were meant to see the porch video, and that he assumed Nancy had a Nest account. I think he’s wearing a mask under the ski mask, and unworried about being recognized. The FBI isn’t pushing his image hard in the media now because they know this. The radius from the ransom notes - the time to return Nancy - includes Mexico. Less than two hours after Harvey Levin reported that fact on air, the second ransom note was received, as if he was waiting for that “discovery” to be publicized. Feb. 10 was huge, with the porch video released, a POI detained, and a test deposit sent to the bitcoin account. That evening, “the rat” sent a message, offering to turn in the suspects for pocket change. The next day, another rat note arrived, stating the suspects are in Mexico with Nancy. Neither porch guy, the ransomer, or “the rat” have been caught, because they’re the same guy. I believe he’s trying to drive LE toward Mexico, and public sentiment against immigrants. His show on the porch and messages directly to the media (TMZ!) were meant to scare the public into thinking foreign agents are here to steal their mothers and grandmothers from their beds. This all happened at the height of the ICE protests, don’t forget. The crime was too well thought out and executed to be some low-level cartel goon. They’d have been caught by now. I think the perp has experience, and it may be on the other side of the law, and the crime was designed to terrorize. For hire? Maybe; maybe not. Real kidnapping is too crazy and risky for common criminals. And if Nancy had obvious enemies who would want to take the extraordinary step of killing her (think Michael McKee with the Tepes), the case would’ve been solved by now. Sorry for the tome. Taking a long subway ride. lol

Thank you, you’re very kind. I wouldn’t have even thought of this angle originally if it hadn’t been for the hateful sentiment I saw directed towards Nancy on social media. We’ve all seen the posts, all variations of “she deserved it.” If people were angry enough at Nancy’s progressive views to state publicly that they’re glad she’s gone, then what might that anger do to someone who had fallen deeply down the rabbit hole of hate and conspiracy? Nancy strongly believed that ICE was not adhering to Christian values, and she was vocal about it online. Combine that with Savannah’s work and fame, plus the Nov. 5 appearance on The Today Show, and she might have risen to the top of a list of potential targets for someone local to Tucson.

@TrueCrimeBelieb Ah. Maybe I was confusing. I didn’t mean actor in the theatrical sense. Just a participant in the crime. I wonder how many murder for hire cases aren’t about money or love? It boggles the mind what happened to Nancy.

Exactly. Serious investigations are built on evidence, timelines, records, and verifiable facts not blurry screenshots and social media imagination. Calling Chris Nanos incompetent is one thing. Trying to turn him into the “porch guy” with zero credible proof is something entirely different. That crosses from criticism into RECKLESS speculation. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Criticizing Sheriff Chris Nanos and accusing him of being the so-called “porch guy” are two completely different things and people are blurring that line recklessly. There are legitimate questions surrounding the handling of the Nancy Guthrie case, the timeline, investigative decisions, and the overall management of the situation. Public scrutiny comes with the badge, especially in a case this high-profile. But turning low-quality screenshots and amateur side-by-side photo comparisons into accusations of kidnapping or murder is not “proof” of anything. No credible forensic analysis, biometric confirmation or verified evidentiary link has been publicly produced connecting Nanos to the individual seen in those images. None. At this point, the theory is being built almost entirely on visual assumptions made online by people without access to official evidence, chain-of-custody material or investigative records. If someone believes misconduct occurred, then the focus should remain on verifiable facts: documented inconsistencies, procedural failures, sworn statements, timelines, reports, and evidence that can withstand scrutiny. That is how serious investigations are conducted. A sheriff can be criticized, challenged, even investigated, without being casually branded a kidnapper or potential killer based on internet photo comparisons. Those are accusations that require actual proof, not "the shape of the head looks the same" in a blurry camera print.
