@BaggageClaim11 I am ready to find my person. But my writing is the most important thing to me, and that's that. I have fought hard for 35 years to make this space my own so that I can be a productive writer. Finding a partner will either happen or it won't. Let the fates decide.

If you’re over 30 and still single, make finding a spouse your top level goal. In our society, wanting to be in a relationship and verbalizing it and working for it has somehow become ‘uncool’. We don’t want to seem desperate especially in an area that seems out of our control, unlike getting a raise or a better job or getting in shape. But it is okay to aim towards finding someone. It won’t guarantee immediate success but it will orient you to see opportunities as they present themselves more often and, thus, increase your chances for success. Say it out loud to yourself. Say it in your prayers every night - ‘I am ready to find my person.’ And watch the possibilities start to materialize.
