That's right. Custom Agents use credits because they run autonomously in the background executing multi-step workflows across Notion and your connected tools on a trigger or schedule. Credits reflect that ongoing work. Notion Agent, on the other hand, responds when you ask it to like a capable co-worker. It's on-demand and included with your plan.

The “house” is the system that makes these tools useful in the first place

Everybody is still looking at AI like how can we build better hammers. I think we need to focus on building houses now.

What’s something that AI can never steal?

I don’t know about y’all, but I can feel all this innovation in the air. I honestly believe it’s been a surge with all of these AI tools. The ideas are in surplus. The gap is deployment. The next gap planning everything you have to deploy. Good problems.

My morning and evening commute is now talking to my phone. Asking it questions and giving it tasks. A place to go when your mind is racing. Easy to forget that a year ago the things you could tackle on your commute would have taken a full day or just never would have happened.

Are you not entertained? This is what’s possible pretty easily today with AI. It’s hard to comprehend where we will be in just a few short years time from now.
