On this day, April 19th, in 1993 our federal government killed 76 citizens including 28 children by a combination of gunfire and burning them to death in Waco, Texas over an warrant to seize guns. This is in addition to 6 more people killed earlier in the seige. And it was all for show so the ATF could look big and bad and scary to anyone else, an attempt to intimidate the rest of America. They had an arrest warrant for Branch Davidian leader David Koresh. He went jogging every morning right past the abandoned house the feds were using as a surveillance location. They could have just walked outside and taken him into custody without incident while he was unarmed on any day they wanted to. Instead they chose a massive armed raid on a compound full of women and children that resulted in 82 American citizens being murdered by their government. The ATF continues to memorialize the 4 agents they lost to this day without showing a lick of remorse for the 28 children they burned to death. Buy guns. Store lots of ammo. Carry everywhere. And never ever EVER trust your government or give it power over you.
