I just did a drive (model 3 awd 14.2.1) in slushy conditions- it was much more cautious than last January in slush on the highway (13.?). it now seems to 'understand' that there will be lateral forces when plowing thru 1-2inches of slush build up when changing lanes. overall it was great, the only failure was in getting up a snow covered inclined driveway - was just spinning its wheels, and because I was concerned with sliding sideways and hitting another car, i took over, backed up, and got a running start - maybe it would have done that, but it was unclear if it understood that was the correct approach. Super impressive. We are just about there.

Why It Clearly Takes More Than 2 Years (The Implication Many Missed)The reply's phrasing ("reversed ... in roughly 2.5 years") highlights the speed of the turnaround on the worst symptoms, but it doesn't mean the economy is "fixed" or that socialist-era distortions are fully erased. Here's the nuance:Inherited damage was structural and decades-deep: Argentina had ~80+ years of Peronist-influenced policies—repeated defaults, nationalizations, price/wage controls, massive public employment/subsidies, and central bank monetization. This created distorted incentives, low productivity, capital flight, brain drain, informal economy dominance, and eroded trust in institutions. Reversing that isn't a switch-flip; it's like unwinding compounded rot. Short-term pain was inevitable and ongoing: The initial recession, unemployment spikes, and real wage compression hit hard (hence videos of frustrated young professionals on rent/migration). Austerity stabilized the macro but compressed demand. Recent monthly inflation ticks in 2026 show expectations and sticky prices/wages don't reset overnight. Full labor market flexibility, investment inflows, and productivity gains require sustained credibility. Remaining work for "full reversal":Inflation still ~30%+ annually is high by global standards; getting to low-single digits (like Chile or stable peers) will likely take several more years of discipline. Growth is recovering (IMF/others project 4–5% in 2025–26), but sustainable 3%+ with job creation needs deeper reforms (labor laws, taxes, trade openness, rule of law). Poverty at ~28% is improved but still elevated; child poverty remains a concern. Long-term reduction ties to broader opportunity creation. Cultural/institutional inertia: Many voters and unions resist further changes. Political battles over the budget, deregulation bills, and currency issues persist. External factors: Dollar shortages, debt overhang, commodity dependence, and global conditions add friction

Argentinian young professional: I voted for Milei and now I can't afford rent anywhere. I'll probably migrate out of the country, but I'll still never vote for the left.

I like your input but this post reeks of arrogance and condescension. Anthropic and OpenAI rent compute from other data centers. Some have high end, some do not. The key point here is that xAI essentially revamped their architecture in the middle of the race after joining late. It’s impressive they are making progress at all. 1T parameter models take a while to train. So the question is if this model is post revamp or before. Lastly, xAI is leasing compute to cursor for their composer 2.5 model, which means they have compute to spare. Thats really the interesting part, is why the can spare it?

Not sure who is telling POTUS that supertankers cost $2 Billion? A brand new 320,000-dwt VLCC supertanker costs $125M right now. Used ones are much less expensive. And fertilizer bulkers even less.

My wall connector is giving me a high temp fault after 6 years. Still charging but throttles to 40A. Anyone know how to fix this? Loose connections maybe? It’s winter so nothing is getting warm due to the weather.

Sam Harris says @JoeRogan has caused a “tremendous amount of harm.” “I didn’t comment on it for a long time because he was a friend.” “I couldn’t figure out how to touch it until I thought: ‘I just have to talk about this.’” “We have friends, but we also have a job to do. Wife has a 2025 Model 3. ~$420–450 to buy the Wall Connector. Another ~$300 for new breaker + 60ft of 4 AWG wiring + breakers in the garage. $99/month for FSD subscription, ~$10/month for Premium Connectivity (the car's cellular data). She loves it. We use FSD >98% of the time now, plus Dog Mode all the time (leave the pup comfy while shopping/dining). I never realized how annoying regular driving was until I basically stopped doing it.

Ahahahaha. Elon fucking cooked up self driving and still most don’t believe it’s real. I love this shit. I thought it was trash 2 years ago but now I’m sitting here laughing, shaking my head daily. That crazy son of a bitch did it, man. Just got through the DC gauntlet. Still haven’t touched the steering wheel or pedals today. Started in Raleigh. Multiple downpours, daytime, night time. Doesn’t matter. It just cooks through everything

@_Truthpaste_ @cybrtrkguy @elonmusk not autonomous delivery until optimus can hop out and do the last 20ft of delivery to the doorstep. but at that point, an extended/high internal volume cybercab/robovan makes much more sense than a repurposed cybertruck

I did a lot of moaning and groaning about my husband getting a cyber truck but the self-driving feature is completely life changing. Call me a convert. I’ve never felt so safe in a car. Putting my kids in any other car feels reckless by comparison

🚨 My Tesla literally saved my life yesterday. What started as a normal drive turned terrifying fast. I unintentionally fasted for 17 hours, took some medicine, and had a severe allergic reaction. My body shut down—I passed out while driving on the freeway, mid-conversation with my wife on the phone. Thank God my Tesla had Full Self-Driving engaged. It detected I lost consciousness (thanks to the driver monitoring system), immediately slowed, activated hazards, and safely pulled over to the shoulder. No crash. No danger to anyone else on the road. My wife heard me go silent and knew something was wrong. She used @Life360 to alert emergency services—they located me within 5 minutes. They attended to me enough for me to tell them, 'I don't want to abandon my truck here on the freeway.' So the Tesla autonomously drove me the rest of the way to the ER. I walked in, got admitted, and they stabilized me overnight. I'm being discharged today—levels back to normal, feeling grateful and alive. Huge thanks to my incredible wife for staying calm and acting fast, and to @elonmusk @Tesla @tesla for engineering cars that literally protect lives when the driver can't. This isn't just convenience—it's life-saving tech. 🙏⚡❤️
