Arrived later than planned Saturday, but ended up in the perfect high foot traffic spot. Judging started early because they had 238 vehicles registered, & I brought the only EV. I didn’t have a chance to start the @Hagerty video on the UI until about an hour into the show.

Finally crossed the Morehead City, NC @TeslaCharging location off my ⚡️ list. Last time I was down this way was December 1, 2024, when the fences were still up. Transformer was on site, but had not been powered on yet.

Not sure I’ll do another rainy day show. Only 17 vehicles showed up, several being club members’. Local businesses who sponsored each trophy chose the vehicles awarded, so club vehicles were eligible. Parked in front of the JoCo Courthouse, in a spot closest to food truck row.

After almost missing out on a dash plaque last Saturday I preregistered for next Saturday’s car show at @UniversalChevy in Wendell hosted by the Eastern Carolina Corvette Club. Won the “Other”category at their 2024 Spring show. It’d be nice to see a few other EVs there.

Weather permitting I’ll be attending one of the closest car shows for ‘26, at the 40th Annual Ham & Yam Festival in the adjacent town. As of yesterday evening the car club overseeing the car show is still planning to see it through. It’d be nice to see another EV there this year.

@greggertruck There’s 2 @cybertruck owners in adjacent town that are retirees. Hoping that one of’em will bring theirs to a car show Saturday, weather permitting. One is in his 80s, & the other is his friend who bought one after riding in his. Spoke with the octogenarian at last year’s show.

My elderly neighbor saw my Cybertruck like a week or so ago and shook his head. I park in the driveway now. Shake away Albert.

@Hagerty @JasonCammisa A lot of folks at car shows are still surprised the Model S has been around since 2012. From a distance a few have mistaken the metallic sequoia green & tan leather interior combo for an Aston Martin. A Model Y owner asked who upholstered the frunk at one of the Southport shows.

@thedooberhead A Signature Model S in JoCo, east of I-95 no less, who'd have thunk it? Most wouldn't imagine 5 Cybertrucks in Princeton either. If deliveries were a little earlier I'd suggest considering the Ham & Yam Festival Car Show. Then there's the South Johnston FFA Car Show to consider.

My wife just gave me the green light to order a signature model S! It took me days to convince her since I got my invite! Can’t wait to hit that order button as soon as I get done drinking my coffee.

@itskyleconner Most North Carolina State Parks offer 30/50 amp service at their RV and tent sites. Medoc Mountain would be the closest to the track (~30 minute drive) and has several 50 amp service RV sites. @LightshipRV. ncparks.gov/state-parks/me…

Hopefully some of the @cybertruck crew has had a chance to watch this video, or will soon. @itskyleconner points out steering should adjust to take into account towing situations.

@Out_of_Spec @LightshipRV @itskyleconner @don_nc @TeslaModelXJour Not sure if y’all have had a chance to use the @TeslaCharging Superchargers at Kenly 95 yet, I-95 exit 106. The posts at its two trailer friendly stalls (2C & 2D) could charge an EV & the @LightshipRV. Granted using both would prevent the opposite lane from charging for a bit.

@brandenflasch A “miracle” or a curse? @GMC & @Toyota should both work to educate their drivers about parking at charging sites with chargers like the @alpitronic 400kW HYCs. Google Lens thinks the bZ4x is a ‘26 so should’ve been pulling close to 150 kW for a while IF it pulled in at a low SOC.

I might be witnessing a miracle - 2 low charging power vehicles sharing a 400kW charger instead of each taking one! (There were other open stalls)

I’m looking for a 2013/2014 Tesla Model S in Tesla Sequoia Green Metallic (PMSG) Must have Free Unlimited Supercharging Mileage is no issue. May also consider a very clean 2012 Signature in Signature Red.
