Made it to @NewburyRacing for my last day here until Bonfire Night!! The traditional Mares Only Final has brought us a number of superstars since its inception in 1984, most notably Flakey Dove. The original mares only race, from which todays top programme grew. Enjoy the sun!!

@NewburyRacing The Track: "A Fair Test" • The Layout: A left-handed, galloping oval approximately 1 mile and 7 furlongs (nearly 4km) in circumference.  • The Straight: It features one of the longest and widest home straights in the country (nearly 5 furlongs), which allows horses plenty of time to find their stride.  • Soil & Going: The track is known for its excellent drainage. However, it’s famous for "pockets" of softer ground, particularly on the far side near the woodland, which can catch out tired horses.  • Stiff Fences: While the fences were historically some of the most daunting in the country, they have been slightly modified over the years. They remain "stiff" but are widely respected by trainers for teaching young horses how to jump properly.  #horseracing @AtTheRaces @SkySportsRacing

Great news that greyhound racing will be banned in Wales! Pushing dogs to their limits for entertainment and profit leaves many with life‑changing injuries - and too often an early death. Westminster should follow suit and call the last lap on greyhound racing.

In 4 out of his 5 seasons in charge, we have drawn away to West Ham, Skinner never learns, like Groundhog Day. Only 3 players left from the original squad he took over, so at what point do stop treading water and replace him with a talented Head Coach?

@ManUtdWomen Dreadful result, doesn't help in a season when a big squad is needed to send players out on loan and rely on a small number of players week in week out. Skinner has taken this club as far he can, need to let him go after this season
