@PierrePoilievre You’re misrepresenting it again. This is not the Financial Times’ own viewpoint, it is reporting on the views of certain industry groups. Those groups come from the forestry, oil and gas, and they largely hold clearly conservative positions.

@PierrePoilievre Putting Canada’s economic future on energy is itself a form of energy insecurity.

Energy is the lifeblood of an economy. Energy powers security. Energy defeats poverty. Let us liberate this energy and make our country the most autonomous, abundant, and affordable the world has ever seen: conservative.ca/cpc/more-canad…

@PierrePoilievre Youth unemployment is historically about double the general rate, and this trend held true even under Harper. Furthermore, average unemployment data suggests the Liberals have a stronger track record on this front than the Conservatives.

Why are more businesses closing than opening in Canada? Why did $1 trillion of net investment leave in 10 years? Carney's Liberal red tape and 12 new bureaucracies👇

Canadians carry more debt than what our entire country produces in a year. Nearly half are $200 from insolvency. Working people can't keep up with the cost of Carney's illusions. We must build strength at home by lowering taxes, removing red tape, and green-lighting projects so our people can live affordable lives: conservative.ca/cpc/no-more-il…

Congratulations, Virginia! Republicans are trying to tilt the midterm elections in their favor, but they haven’t done it yet. Thanks for showing us what it looks like to stand up for our democracy and fight back.

For 4 months in a row, Prime Minister Carney has given Canadians the worst food inflation among G7 countries. Liberal grocery taxes and doubled deficits have pushed a record number of Canadians to food banks and 1 in 4 people into food insecurity. Take all taxes off groceries to deliver affordable food now: conservative.ca/cpc/make-food-…

At 103%, Canada has the highest household debt-to-GDP ratio in the G7 - second highest in the OECD. Since 75% is mortgage debt for an asset, we shouldn't worry, right? Beyond systemic financial risk, being a real estate-driven economy has cost us productivity.

@whereschavo394 @PierrePoilievre You actually have to calculate it yourself, because the numbers Poilievre is using are constructed and can be misleading. There isn’t any official dataset that directly publishes real GDP per capita growth.

@WayneWpz @PierrePoilievre Dont need to run the numbers myself. Its public information. You just dont wblant to admit that canadas economy is dog shit. Canadian are in more debt then they ever been. The government runs a deficit every year. And the only growth our economy sees is from immigration

Canada's wealth and opportunity is being held back by 11 years of Liberal taxes and red tape. We should be the wealthiest country on earth, but instead, we're at the back of the pack. Conservatives will keep fighting to green-light big projects, get shovels in the ground, and empower Canada's workers to build the strongest country in the world.

@whereschavo394 @PierrePoilievre As I’ve already said, the data from each country is publicly available. Stop relying on AI summaries, AI makes plenty of mistakes. Do the calculations yourself. If you can’t, then don’t try to debate using data.

@WayneWpz @PierrePoilievre This is a flat out lie . Where are you getting the real gdp per capita for 2025?. Cause your numbers are flat out wrong Canada's real GDP per capita saw a period of weakness in 2025, with quarterly fluctuations resulting in an overall stagnant to slightly declining trend

Pierre Poilievre has been recycling the same opinion piece to attack Carney for a whole year now. The article is by Matthew Lynn, a quintessential British right-wing commentator and hardcore Brexiteer. His beef with Carney is essentially that Carney, during his time as Governor of the Bank of England, kept hammering on the risks of Brexit and sided with the Remain camp. This is the same guy who famously predicted back in 2007 that the iPhone would never take off just a toy for a handful of tech nerds and who has also been skeptical of EVs and insisted that Brexit would have a negligible impact on the UK economy and so on. Oh, and he's incredibly prolific. Like, the man probably publishes more columns in a year than I post on social media in a year. He has two separate pieces attacking Carney in the Telegraph, and when you run them through AI, it flags them as essentially two versions of the same argument — same logic, same conclusions, just tweaked for different sections or occasions. Pretty thin stuff.

@Jimjrock69 @PierrePoilievre The data has already been published do the calculation yourself instead of just relying on AI summaries. And don’t forget, Canada’s population actually declined last year, so use the updated population figures.

@DeanAllisonMP The report literally says Canada is back on the radar of global investors, with nearly $100B in FDI — the highest since 2015.And somehow this is your evidence against Carney? Thanks for the analysis, Conservative MP.

This type of destruction — $1,000,000,000,000 of investment driven away — ended the hopes of an entire generation of young Canadians They can’t buy homes, they are struggling to find jobs, and many have difficulties affording the basics This is what an extreme, ideological government does to a country They see nothing but the narrow tenets of the ideology they follow and ignore everything else Remember “The Budget Will Balance Itself” ? He truly believed it! And so did the rest of the Liberal MPs he was the boss of Those very same Liberal MPs are still there, and they believe in the same ideology They just changed the face of who formally leads them, but they’re still driving the country into an economic catastrophe Elbows up! 🤦‍♂️

$1,000,000,000,000 left, leaving our young people more unhappy than young people in Kazakhstan This was the result of an extreme, ideologically driven government that tanked almost everything it touched And guess what … as you can tell, Carney hasn’t done anything different! Elbows up! 🤦‍♂️
