7. Telling Instead of Showing
Mistake: Over-explaining emotions or events instead of letting the reader experience them.
Fix: Instead of "She was nervous," show your character biting their lip, tapping their foot, or stuttering. Let actions and dialogue reveal emotions.

Mistake:
Either nothing happens for pages or everything happens in a paragraph.
Fix:
Balance action and reflection (after an intense scene, slow down for character thoughts).
Use scene breaks to skip unimportant moments and expand key scenes when needed.
