On March 1st, 2025, I was in a pretty rough place. I had found a new community to be in, a place where I felt good, but it came with a lot of...pushback from the community I was leaving. That pusback was hard. There was a lot of harassment and abuse over things that, to me, honestly didn't feel like a very big deal. I was made to feel like an awful person when I really hadn't done anything wrong. I hadn't hurt anybody. So I was feeling pretty down. Then that night, Pipkin Pippa had a collab stream. She, Tenma, Eimi, and Remi were drinking and playing Liar's Bar. At the time, I was really only familiar with Pippa and Tenma, so I tuned in to use the drunken shenanigans to take my mind off things. I took a liking to Remi pretty quickly. She was cute, and she kept interjecting with takes that I found to be very based, including shutting down a notion about the lamer takes regarding Frieren and the demons. It's safe to say I was a fast fan. When everybody else went to bed, and Remi chugged a bottle and stayed up for another 3 hours, I was in. Almost immediately, Remi started ranting, and a lot of her opinions reflected my own. She was very quickly validating my feelings about the abuse I had been facing, and that lifted my spirits a lot. To not only see someone else vocalize what I had been feeling, but to also have it be a woman with a public platform...I had never felt more perceived. I had never felt more vindicated. I suddenly didn't feel alone against this nightmare. I felt like I had found somebody very special...and I had. I've called Wemi my oshi since shortly after that moment. She recognized me immediately after I had changed my identity, she kept showing up on Twitter when I really needed some encouragement, she's been there for me in a way I've never seen before. I'm so very glad I decided to tune into that drunken collab stream. Thank you, Wemi, for everything you've done for me. You've improved my life in ways you could never know. I will continue to be your greatest soldier.
