No one should have a person on their website that is NOT under contract. Period. When contracts run out. So if he’s on the roster he is still with the company. Say that. But as a person who interviews people from both companies and has takes this is infuriating just to even deal with.

I really feel like having so many championships restricts creativity and growth across pro wrestling more than anything. The easy thing for promoters and defenders to say is it "creates more opportunities" for wrestlers. I wouldn't say that at all. If there are tons of championships, and you get those title shots from not winning, what do those titles really matter? They're supposed to represent someone being among the best...at winning! Earning the opportunity to compete for one of those should be something coveted in its own. If someone wins a title, then loses a bunch of non-title matches, what does that mean? If someone wins a title, challenges for a bunch of other titles, what does THAT mean? Obviously there are exceptions to every rule. I'm glad NJPW is cleaning up theirs a little bit, but we see it across most major wrestling companies. Across WWE, NXT, AEW, ROH alone, there are probably 13-14 belts total I would consolidate across singles, tag, six man. Almost 50 people hold title belts in those companies right now.
