As of 3:00 p.m. Weakley County's tornado watch has been lifted. Rain is expected to continue throughout the night.

We're at a 3/5 threat for severe weather, most likely to be strong winds ahead of a cold front, but pop-up tornadoes can't be completely ruled out. We're under a tornado watch until 4pm. The Weakley County Courthouse is open and will remain so until the tornado advisory expires.

We encourage all citizens affected in any way by the December 11 tornadoes to attend this event hosted by the City of Dresden and Weakley County. The purpose of this meeting will be to provide updates and connect citizens with appropriate community resources.

Due to recent weather events the Weakley County Courthouse phone system and internet are currently out of order. All departments and court proceedings are continuing as scheduled. Please be advised that some offices may not be able to accommodate all needs at this time.

Weakley Co. Gov. offices will be opening on Fri., 2/19 from 10AM-3PM. The goal is for officials & staff to get to the office & process departmental work. Travel to our offices is not encouraged; many less traveled roads are still icy + dangerous. Please call ahead: 731-364-5414.

The @TNDeptofHealth released that they've transitioned to a new scheduling website for registering for COVID-19 vaccine: vaccinate.tn.gov. Be advised-this is the website that will be used going forward & former registration sites will no longer be used. Check out the site!
