🚨BREAKING: Rep. Chip Roy, author of the SAVE America Act, lost his Republican primary for Texas attorney general to outright election denier state Sen. Mayes Middleton.
Middleton has signaled that, as attorney general, he would work to overturn results that go against his party — as incumbent Attorney General Ken Paxton did for Trump’s 2020 loss.
While Trump did not endorse either candidate, he appeared to favor Middleton, who has praised the GOP for trying to “stop the steal” in 2020.
