More than 800 hectares have already burned. For the first time in the Paris region, two Canadair water bombers are scooping water from the Seine River to fight the blaze. Nearly 500 firefighters have been deployed, and authorities suspect the fire was deliberately started.

🇨🇳 LANDFALL: After swimming across the Western Pacific for 11 days, Typhoon Bavi has made her third and final landfall over the city of Yuhuan, China (just NE of Wenzhou) with winds of 90 MPH (145 kph) and a pressure of 952 mbar. Wind gusts of up to 120 MPH (195 kph) have been recorded by coastal weather stations, and an immense spiral of heavy rain is now moving inland. Bavi is the second life-threatening cyclone to make landfall in China in the last week, following Tropical Storm Maysak in Guangxi.
