Is privacy privacy? this exact question was asked by kobbi Nissim and Alexandra wood in a book titled "The philosophical transactions of the royal society A" an article that focused on the definition between the privacy we thought we have and the privacy we really have. and although the question didn't really reveal much on the surface, it's an approach used in understanding how the very meaning of privacy has shifted in modern day societies — from a simple personal right to a complex problem shaped by data, algorithms and constant digital exposure.

imagine being an African who’s genuinely really good at something that’s truly valuable you come to 𝕏 to share it to “the world” & unfortunately, the few people who’s attention actually mattered for your post - use the “filter by region” feature & your posts don’t even reach them since you’re African you’re stuck in a loop of not being able to get on the global stage because none of what you “build in public” actually reaches the public. you’re honestly better off building elsewhere, 𝕏 is currently being run for developed regions - if you’re unfortunate enough to be born in a developing region - you don’t get a chance to prove yourself on the global stage - at least on 𝕏. the good thing is, if you’re in crypto & were building on 𝕏 to help with crypto distribution (because this app is the crypto native cluster), please feel free to move to TikTok, Instagram & YouTube as ultimately - If crypto truly wants to break the bubble - it needs to begin making moves outside 𝕏 some crypto companies have caught on to this & are making small strides there - even though the traction can be disappointing overall - all these changes both within & outside crypto (especially media wise) will force a massive shed of people & whilst that has its advantages, it’ll become a very big problem if there’s nothing that brings in new people. as for me - I’m very tired & currently living on my last straw of tolerance for everything here.
