Really looking forward to this tomorrow! I love the inspiration and connection that comes with conferences and what important topics to be covering. I will be alongside Polly Casey from the Anna Freud Centre, talking about the magic of relationships! Can't wait @ThriveApproach

I’m so pleased that the whole audience #CYPNowAwards gave a standing ovation to the remarkable @Kathy_CEO_CE to recognise the outstanding work of @Childrenengland and to express huge sadness its closing. Kathy’s off the cuff speech nailed it - we need to put children first

@_LisaCherry I especially liked this month's edition, it really resonated with me and some of my reflections as I walk through the woods and along the country lanes. An important time of year for release, composting and slowing down:)

Let's talk menopause. Teaching is a female-dominated profession, yet support for those going through menopause is often overlooked. Symptoms can start years before reaching 51, the UK average age, and can continue past 55. It's time to break the silence. #worldmenopauseday

@InferiorTheory @AnnaSmee1 @ThriveApproach Indeed and sadly this leaves many of our young people who need our care, isolated, disconnected and at risk. A culture and practice of belonging, community, connection and compassion is the way, informed by established research on developmentally what young people need.

@WebbofRoses @AnnaSmee1 @ThriveApproach Absolutely. If you're excluded, you either learn to disconnect from your feelings in order to meet the approval of authority figures and get included... Or you decide that you belong outside the group and see them as adversaries who you must disrupt more than ever.

'Social isolation has always been used in schools as a punishment but, actually, such punishments might have counterproductive effects.' Interesting and insightful article from a leading light in the field. So much sense here and a great deal to reflect upon @ThriveApproach
