@DanKBengals@JonTite18 The motivation is if he does an extension, it allows the team to make more moves, and a real push for a championship, and if the defense is fixed there is a 3 year window of staying good, plenty of time to build an incredible resume to get a giant bag, instead of a moderate one
@JonTite18 I don't think there's much motivation from his side to take an extension since it would be very one-sided towards the team at this point. Pick up his option, have him put a full year of good tape on and come back in a year.
@CrackeyTheBear The team needs to develop leaders without them there, the offense is almost exactly the same, everyone knows the expectations, and the big 3 are still working and building chemistry. This gives everyone a great opportunity to step up without stepping on toes
I’ll say the take nobody wants to publicly say
Burrow-Chase-Higgins should all be here right now with the team. I know these are super insignificant but if we go all in like this, I want EVERYONE there.
@flamcheesy I'm thinking Kenny Moore might be a trade option, give Lou one of the D linman that he drafted that probably will be practice squad, cut option
Sources: Former #Bengals third-round WR Jermaine Burton will take part in the #Bills’ rookie minicamp as he attempts to get back into the league.
The former Alabama standout is still just 24 years old.
@pauldehnerjr It is absolutely crazy how negative he sounded about every choice. It's like a parent saying sure you can have 5 minutes more of tv, but that means you will miss out on XYZ. It's like he only has the ability to brag about Flacco!
Just finished 40 minutes of a Duke Tobin news conference. Will have much more coming, but a few thoughts stand out.
-Talking point of the day was that in getting the Dexter Lawrence trade done they "layered in challenges" financially this year and next and are at or near the top of the league in spending.
-Sounds possible the Lawrence trade jeopardized the Myles Murphy 5YO. "Would be a financial decision ..." was part of the answer as that comes up.
-Tobin sounded open to restructuring Burrow (very different from February response) and said they would look into that now that the draft is over.
-Wasn't design to not add LB, but he expressed extreme confidence in that group and what Carter-Knight will grow into this year.
-Pointed out never done roster building, but obvious they feel restricted at this moment.
-"Pass rush is still king," not that it was necessary to say it after all the money/capital spent on DL this spring.
Again, much more from this and a full slate of behind-the-scenes from draft/FA coming your way in the next few days.
@drehow@Schultz_Report Would you want your daughter to date someone who is violent towards woman? To a certain extent no, it's not redeemable ESPECIALLY multiple occurrences, same for crimes against children
The Eagles drafted EDGE Uar Bernard in the 7th round who's never played football before:
- 6-4, 306 pounds
- 36-inch arms
- 4.63 40-yard dash
- 6% body fat
His trainer at the NFL's HBCU showcase: "Hands down he is the most explosive athlete I've ever seen."
Next Mailata?
Should the Bengals explore a trade with the Dolphins for All-Pro linebacker Jordyn Brooks? Miami has drafted a pair of backers...

@AndreBengals We lost to the bears, and a couple other teams because we had no answers for TE's, now we do this guy on last years team alone would have made us a playoff team
My qualm with the Tacario Davis pick is that it shows the Bengals will either:
1) Force Dax back into the slot when he’s FINALLY excelling outside
2) Not play their 3rd round rookie & then refuse to extend Dax after 2026
I think Tacario Davis is a SUPER TALENTED player.
Aye man, am I the only person that thinks our wr depth is dogshit and they we need to upgrade it (from wr3 on down)? I’ve been seeing tons of mocks from fans over the past few days (tonight included), and they rarely ever have a receiver as a selection. Feels like I’m close to
@maxmurp_ I thoroughly agree, I have no issue with taking a veteran and an ufa at Lb and still feel good, there are too many good cb's, edge, EMW...even wr that can make this team scarier. 4th needs to be swing tackle, everything else is bpa
@benga1scentre@Colton_Hood2023@Jermodmccoy@DangeloPondss Ponds is my favorite pick for Bengals, he is aggressive, a bully, and a tone setter. He won't just play well he will frustrate players like Metcalf into making dumb mistakes. I like trading back if he is gone, but only if Ponds is gone
