Can confirm via multiple sources within the last hour: When the ProhiBet alert was triggered at Cincinnati, @GoBEARCATS compliance did exactly what they were supposed to do. There is a clear paper trail of the investigation and education. UC had no further flags or evidence of active wagering at that point. I'll have a deeper dive into the timeline in a bit.

Cincinnati's knowledge of Brendan Sorsby's gambling stems from an alert the school received in Aug. 2024, showing Sorsby attempted to access fantasy site PrizePicks, according to court documents. The school questioned Sorsby after the alert and was told that he was denied access to PrizePicks and had not placed any wagers. UC says it did not receive any additional alerts related to Sorsby during his two seasons.
