Food and water are NOT human rights. You don’t have a right to anything that requires the labor of others. The word for that is slavery..

Republicans literally asked George Santos to resign in January of 2023, a week after he was sworn in. Democrats filed expulsion papers in May, right after he was indicted. From his initial indictment to his full and complete expulsion, it was around 7 months total. IT'S BEEN 14 MONTHS FOR SHEILA CHERFILUS-MCCORMICK, and about 27 months since she was initially investigated for all her criming. Her alleged crimes are much worse too since she did them while she was in office (essentially *while* Santos was being expelled) and it was $5 freaking million dollars.

The House Ethics Committee on Thursday will hold a rare public "trial" for Democratic Rep. Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick of Florida, who is accused of stealing $5 million in federal pandemic funds and using some of the money to boost her congressional campaign. cbsn.ws/4c7CTPf

@TukiFromKL Funding wasn’t done in the senate because of Democrats threatening to filibuster so they can protect illegal aliens from deportation .

🚨 let me explain what just happened.. TSA workers .. the people who screen your luggage at airports.. stopped getting paid because Congress couldn't pass funding.. today Trump signed an executive order to fix it.. problem solved.. hero moment.. except.. Congress didn't go rogue.. his party controls it.. the funding stalled because of chaos in his own house.. TSA workers went without pay because of a problem he had the power to prevent.. and he had the power to sign this executive order the entire time.. in 2019, Trump's government shutdown lasted 35 days.. TSA workers called in sick in record numbers.. airports descended into a state of utter confusion.. security lines collapsed.. he eventually ended it the same way.. an executive order.. same playbook.. different year.. create the emergency.. let people suffer through it.. sign the paper.. take the credit.. Somewhere a TSA agent is paying their overdue rent with a paycheck that should have never stopped.

Obama literally ran on "Mitt Romney will put black people in chains" and a week after Biden was sworn in his DOJ started arresting shitposters over 2016 election memes. You people will not rewrite history.
constans@constans

Both Obama and Biden ran on a platform of “let’s return to normal and let bygones be bygones, because republicans deep down just want to move beyond partisanship” It’s been the Dem message for almost *20 years*. And no Dems even want to pretend to believe it anymore

@David_J_Bier This is an excellent point. This man is scum, & he deserves more effective, lasting, formal consequences than yet another simple, rushed, routine deportation. He was already deported 4 times, and kept making it back in, slipping thru the cracks. The courts exist for a reason!

Heinous act. Hope the victim gets justice. But his deportation history is a reminder why "just deport a criminal alien bypassing the courts and due process" may not be the obvious answer that the Trump admin thinks it is. Prosecutions are important for justice and deterrence.

NEW: A 4x previously deported Honduran illegal alien has been charged with murder after he allegedly shoved an 83-year-old U.S. Air Force veteran onto subway tracks in NYC's upper east side. He died from his injuries. The alien has a lengthy rap sheet. nypost.com/2026/03/26/us-…

PSA: You can read this book in a few hours and, once you’ve finished, you’ll know more about medieval castles than most people currently living. Nonfiction is seldom this fun; a pure joy to read & ponder.

All politics are at root theological WW2 and the Holocaust are regarded as pivotal historical events with good reason but they have fused with the civil rights era to create a pseudo-religion for modern America It is the only shared morality for a nation that has abandoned its true faith and like any heresy it has dangerous consequences These historical events have taken on a mythical nature to the point where few people have any knowledge of the history but only recognize the feelings those events are now meant to evoke Bad theology alway creates bad outcomes and our modern political theology is a disaster It’s always 1936, every opponent is Hitler, every skeptic is Chamberlain, every failure to act will result in a Holocaust This political theology has run its course, young people are exhausted by it and the foreigners that are imported to replace our population have no connection to the moral guilt it attempts to summon It’s time to stop doing this to ourselves These are just historical events, not spiritual archetypes meant to be evoked for the rest of our nation’s lifetime Enough is enough

Congress needs to impeach @USCISJoe immediately. By not processing applications, he's refusing to do his job, forcing immigrants out of their jobs to cause them to self-deport. It's criminal mismanagement of our legal system. And he's defrauding immigrants of their money.

It's so funny how Biden's admin not enforcing our border laws was totally fine but not processing visa applications is meltdown worthy.

"Slop" is real. It's more than a digital phenomenon. It dominates our physical lives too, in the products we use and materials we consume daily. As a result, true American Quality has become hard to find. But there is a better way. ➾ unslop.shop I've spent the last few weeks building a curated list of quality goods that contain zero plastics and are made to last. In most cases they are also made in the USA, in all cases they come from American companies 🇺🇸 I will be adding more items weekly, and I hope you'll join me in the return to Quality. Unslop your life.

There is a species of ant that approaches the edge of another colony, kills a single worker, and then takes on the dead ant’s scent. For ants, scent is everything. Wearing that scent, the intruder walks in with no resistance. The workers pass by without concern. The intruder moves inward, toward the queen, then It sprays the queen with a different scent that makes the workers turn on her. Then they surround her and kill her. The intruder does not need to fight anyone. The colony does the work itself. Once the queen is gone, the intruder reproduces. The true invader is no longer an intruder. It is the future. This is how ideological takeover works. A destructive foreign ideology takes the scent of familiar ideas and walks in as if it belongs. It speaks the native vocabulary, justice, equality, compassion, rights, progress. It uses these words and quietly changes what they point to. Then it moves inward. It alters how foundations are perceived. Responsibility is made to smell like cruelty, law like oppression, borders like hatred, tradition like danger, history like guilt. At that point, the civilization turns on itself. Its courts, universities, churches, media, and bureaucracies begin treating their own foundations as threats. They believe they are defending the system. They are enforcing what now smells legitimate. They do not see the intruder because it sounds exactly like them. And when the founding principles are finally removed, discredited, dismantled, erased, the foreign ideology does not need to conquer anything. It inherits what is left. The queen is gone. The colony is no longer itself. The most effective conquest is the one that convinces a society that its own foundations are the enemy, and that killing them is an act of virtue.

As a former progressive, this is absolutely accurate and caused me endless frustration with my co-partisans. They fundamentally don’t care if their ideas work. They hardly even have a concept of ideas working. Their entire evaluation function is based on social perception and emotionalism which is, in fact, profoundly selfish and unvirtuous. If you care more about feeling like/being seen as good than you do about results, you’re a selfish parasite. Hardly exclusive to the left, but it defines the leftist project in a way it doesn’t define any other political faction.
