I'm not sure what this new opportunity is, but can you imagine her — or someone like her — squaring off in the HoC against Carney?
Given his track record of how he speaks to women, his shine would surely rub off quickly. If the Conservatives choose a new leader, a woman would be the strongest choice against Carney.
A good deal of Carney’s appeal with Canadians is that they see him as nicer and more polite than Poilievre. Carney’s Achilles’ heel is how he talks to women, hands down. This is likely, in part, why he’s planning on recording those “forward guidance” videos.

The NEP was put in place to extract resource wealth from Alberta and allocate it to Ottawa.
This caused Alberta to reach a breaking point.
It's clear, Albertans don't want to fork over cash for no return.
Now we're talking about a new pipeline... and the feds aren't so silly as to just try and rip the resources.
Besides, that's tough work.
Instead they'll just tax all the tough work to accomplish the same goal. And because it's hidden away on a spreadsheet column somewhere, they're hoping Albertans won't notice.
Consider this your notice.
This deal isn't the win you think it is.

This is precisely why Carney and Danielle Smith didn’t involve Eby in the real negotiations. They know who’s really in charge.
Years of this ideological approach have created nothing but uncertainty, delays, and lost opportunities. Now, we are seeing the consequences of co-governance in full effect. While the rest of the country works together, BC is held hostage by groups with absolutely no responsibility to pursue the public's interest.

Why would it be national unity. Ottawa and the Canadian people delivered TMX. This is no different. The MOU enables. It does not complete a pipeline. Private money has yet to come forward. That’s the real test.

Having done a few of these leaderships before the campaigns who can win are those who have identified their vote, outperform the party wide numbers in verifying their vote and deliver the vote to the ballot box. Videos, memes, social media posts, town halls and the rest of it mean jackshit at this point. Who has the ground game to get their supporters votes in the ballot box? That's the only question that now matters. My guess is that three candidates will be above 20% of the points on first ballot, one will be in the teens and one will be in the high single digits. Let your imaginations run wild. It's going to be fun.

@WeetmanRob @CalgaryDave What's really disappointed as the money it cost to make the TMX, the time it took to get everything together, and the companies that lost interest overtime. If there's a better way, we should do it. Canadian government is terribly inefficient with time and money.
