Actually no, I didn’t say it was “Foote’s fault” but I still think the job has been substandard. You can absolutely make a case to move on from all of them. Even with better coaching this is still a last place roster, even when healthy. But better coaching would have made them more competitive. And as we can see, it is working. Ukraine is capable of inflicting irreparable damage on all of Russia’s key oil hubs—and these are the best sanctions that no one can lift. It is also a vivid demonstration of the failure of all the "Special Military Operation’s" goals—because in 2021, it was hard to imagine that Ukraine would destroy the port of Primorsk in the Leningrad Oblast. Ukraine’s attacks perfectly complement the internal outrage within the Russian Federation. The number of volunteers is shrinking along with payments to the military. Peter Milobar was a major proponent of DRIPA and a hardcore reconciliation warrior until five minutes ago. Conservatives shouldn’t be fooled by last-minute DRIPA reversals. I believe that Caroline Elliott is by far the best candidate to win the leadership race, defeat the NDP, and repeal DRIPA. @CanucksHouse The rot goes far beyond Hughes. We can thank them later for trading him. You obviously missed the last playoff run against the Oillers when he disappeared. Everyone involved with losing Horvat needs to swing, however. Which is pretty much the same culprits.

Canucks organization/ownership cannot go unscathed after this season. They spent all summer making moves to convince Hughes to stay. Then in December when it was clear Hughes wanted out, traded him. They had to pivot and that's largely a failure on the organization.
