After talking to 5 people in @UnitedAirlines baggage dept, taking the bike/case to the airport, and filing a claim, United says “Our Contract of Carriage excludes liability for bikes.” Multiple emails back and forth, arguing the rules of contract interpretation…

Update: we’re now 5 hours after I was told a @united supervisor would call me to discuss their destruction of my @TrekBikes Madone SLR9 gen 7. Great customer service, United Airlines.💩😳

Flew @united last weekend home from a bike race in Vegas. @united cracked/destroyed my carbon bike frame. I’ve now called 2x, took the bike/case to the airport at their request, and am on hour 3 of waiting for a call from a ‘supervisor’ “within 1-2 hours.” Never fly @united
