I just realized Holmes was only at 59 pitches. That’s interesting.
59 pitches and 3 runs certainly isn’t a conventional time to pull a starter. Holmes has bad time-through splits but he’s always had those. Now I’m curious if this was just a tactical decision or something else

Holmes has beeen removed after four innings. He was perfect through three and then labored during a three-run fourth. His final three fastballs were 92, 91.6 and 93.7 mph
