@the_red_heifer When you watch the NRL, it’s ‘Super Saturday’. Over here, we’re well versed with Super Sunday and MNF. Games need to have identity like this, folk in UK plan Sundays around Super Sunday, RL needs to find it’s place in the calendar. If it’s your best 2 games every Fri 6.30/8.30.

I'm pretty sure the first thing the NRL will do when it inevitably takes over Super League is put a stop to there being 3 Friday Night games

@M_Shaw1 I think he deserves more respect, I’d have him at Warrington in a heartbeat. Still only 31. Folk point to his injuries, the guy is hard as nails, countless times plays patched up/busted. If you get to a final he’ll show up and but his body on the line wether injured or not.

@MattTurner_WG Kind of asked for it Matt. Stopped playing and had a glut of good ball in the 2nd half. We had to be braver and find the killer blow, a two score lead in those conditions you win. Spades of effort across the park but lacking quality.

@DarylCatpiss @_WireFans_ You have to pick King. If the game goes how expected there’s going to be a lot of sets starting ‘in the box’ close to our line, King our best yardage carrier from deep in our own half. Also, It sounds harsh but Peta Hiku will bully Lindop - he did it at the HJ last year.

@MattTurner_WG @WarringtonRLFC Any comparision to the previous two campaigns is not valid whatsoever. Our only realistic hope of a final under Powell would have been the 1895 Cup if they’d let us enter. I think we all feel flat, for the players it will be worse still, but there’s alot to play for in ‘24.

Without wishing to turn this into a pile-on (everyone entitled to their opinion etc) I'm genuinely curious to know whether this is a commonly-held view among @WarringtonRLFC fans after last week...
Andy Bibby@AndrewPaulBibby

@MattTurner_WG @WarringtonRLFC I’m going cos I can, but I’m finding it difficult to motivate myself I’m almost as disappointed with this team, as I was last season in Daryl Powell The team let us down last week and we were there for them in huge numbers. They have to get back on the bike and win us back

@johnnyddavidson I do agree with you, but your point is sort of the point, our game isn’t the biggest right now, so if were able to tap into that Union crowd for 5k plus of those fans and get them into Wembley it would help. MND sadly has brought the two codes closer than ever in recent times.

The same old excuses again about the Challenge Cup final and its attendance again. There is no perfect timeslot for it, and there is always going to be competing events. It just not a big national event like it was in the past.

@johnnyddavidson It’s not helpful. To my point, if you took the say ‘Top 20 factors’ it would be in there, as you want your flagship game to be a stand alone sporting event that day. There would have been people in Twickenham on Saturday, that could/would have attended CC final if no clash.

One thing that’s overlooked about this is if you listen closely after Hankey says “what do I fancy double 12 or double 8” you can hear his opponent John Walton say “You’ll miss them both anyway”😂😂 get every player mic’d up now.

@M_Shaw1 Keep Luke away from the RFL, they’ll make him use soft tip darts, play no more than ten legs a week and anything bull or higher on the board will be a penalty.

Cross-sport promotion shouldn't be underestimated and rugby league has done well during the PDC World Championships. Best of luck to Luke Littler, who intends to still be on the terraces at the Halliwell Jones Stadium next season. examinerlive.co.uk/sport/rugby-le…

@johnnywsports @AlexG6 @TheRFL No disrespect, but I don’t think you are necessarily reading or getting my point and I’m at risk of giving myself a head injury here so I’ll wish you a good day. My point was/is about kids who are 6, that have just played a Newbies mini season, being told to drop down an age.

@Wes_Nolan @AlexG6 @TheRFL A sports lawyer/ RFL representative would say “there are now less options for 6 yr old to get into contact sports - you’ll see there is more safeguarding for children than ever before: boxing in uk is limited until aged 10 & deliberate headers in ⚽️ have been removed from U12s”

I would urge all community RL clubs, do not register your players for the upcoming 2024 season. Hit back at the @TheRFL where it hurts them most - the pocket. That I believe is our bargaining tool. All those £12 & £18 reg fees that will have been forecasted. No players - no game.

@Wes_Nolan @AlexG6 @TheRFL The message to those 6 year olds should be “rules have been changed to safeguard from brain injuries - as a human brains are develop the most at adolescence. We can practice tackling technique for when you are older - but we will focus on ball handling instead”. 🤷🏻‍♂️

@johnnywsports @AlexG6 @TheRFL Nobody is disputing that. There’s a tonne of rule changes, very few of which impact the pro’ game right now by the way, even the armpit height is a ‘recommendation’ for 2025. There’s quite a lot under review for 12 months. Surely 6/7 yr old kids can be given the same grace.

@AlexG6 @Wes_Nolan @TheRFL The RFL’s proposals are deemed to safeguard the sport’s value long term. If rules are not changed to mitigate brain injury of players - at all level of the pyramid - sponsors will stay away and risk of litigation dramatically increases.

@johnnywsports @AlexG6 @TheRFL Any changes that affect the children should be being discussed at great length, and those conversations should involve the key stakeholders who govern and look after their welfare. If 6 year olds are so irrelevant per your point why affect them instantly and so harshly?

@Wes_Nolan @AlexG6 @TheRFL Are you telling me that RFL lawyers/ executives are even discussing how a six-year-old feels? When there’s a whole bench of suits from commercial, legal, media at the same conversation table? Your point’s deluded. Look at what Radlinski said (350 Wigan/ representative appearances

@johnnywsports @AlexG6 @TheRFL I really don’t believe that telling 6 year old kids that have just played a mini-season that they can no longer play with their friends who they’ve just been playing with a matter of weeks ago will save/cost anybody a $1 billion.
