It has exposed the moral bankruptcy of global institutions, the hypocrisy of Western governments, and the emptiness of their claims to human rights. It has exposed media complicity, selective outrage, and the price of truth when it threatens power. More painfully, it has exposed the weakness, cowardice, and moral confusion within our own ranks, those who speak of justice only when it is safe, and of principles only when they cost nothing. Gaza did not just reveal oppression; it revealed who stands firm, who compromises, and who was never serious to begin with.

The charity Human Appeal USA paid the academic Khaled Beydoun $2,040,887 for fundraising activities in the fiscal year ending 2024, according to public accounts. Their filing shows that Beydoun raised $7,120,440 for the charity for online LaunchGood campaigns (for Gaza, Lebanon, Yemen, Kashmir etc) during the year, which means they kept $5,079,553 of the total. Beydoun was paid 28.7%.of the money raised from donors. Human Appeal USA have issued a statement saying an error was made in the accounts and the funds were meant for Beydoun’s Islamophobia organisation rather than him personally. Beydoun also issued a statement confirming the same although no proof has been provided that the money was transferred to his organisation. Meanwhile, 5Pillars has spoken to several industry experts who have told us that Human Appeal USA has acted unethically and misled its donors about where money donated has actually gone.

If you thought Epstein was bad, this is similar. A Kāfir will do and say things that are utterly unprincipled and intrinsically beast-like. Far too many profited from the pure, blessed blood of Gaza. Blood became currency, and suffering became opportunity. Just follow the trail and you will see where it leads: imitation of the Kuffār at every juncture. Their standards become the benchmark, their conduct becomes the model, and their corruption becomes normalised, all because it appears fashionable or advantageous. While the people of Gaza gave their blood fulfilling a farḍ kifāyah on behalf of the entire Ummah, others made greed their occupation. They turned Gaza into a marketplace, where tragedy was traded, where sympathy was monetised, and where positions, influence, and wealth were extracted from the pain of the oppressed. This is not the peak of the problem; it is only the surface. What remains hidden is far greater and far more disturbing. This is the inevitable result of spiritual emptiness. When spirituality is absent, exploitation replaces sincerity, and mismanagement replaces trust. When fear of Allāh disappears from the hearts, accountability disappears from actions. The tongue speaks of sacrifice, but the hands grasp for worldly gain. Contrast this with the noble example of a man from our glorious past. Among the spoils of war that came into the possession of the Mujāhidīn after the Battle of al-Qādisiyyah was a precious jewel, the like of which had never been seen before. The treasurer asked him, “Did you take anything from it?” He replied, “By Allāh, were it not for Allāh, we would not have brought it to you.” They immediately recognised that this was a man of immense calibre and integrity, so they asked, “Who are you?” He replied, “By Allāh, I will not tell you, lest you or anyone else praise me.” Later, it was discovered that he was indeed Āmir ibn ʿAbd Qays r.a. This was a generation whose sincerity was more precious than jewels, whose fear of Allāh was greater than temptation, and whose concern was acceptance, not recognition. They did not see war as a marketplace, nor sacrifice as a ladder to status. They feared that even their honesty might corrupt their intention. This is the difference between a people driven by Īmān and a people driven by greed. One bleeds and expects nothing from the creation; the other watches the blood flow and asks what can be gained from it.

It does not surprise the believers in the slightest when kufr allies itself with others in order to oppose Islam or gain advantage in battle. Kufr is inherently weak, weaker than the spider’s web. We witnessed this weakness when the United States pleaded with other nations to provide troops and support for its terror campaigns in Iraq and Afghanistan. Now reports are emerging once again of kufr seeking assistance from Kurdish leaders in Iraq and Iran against Iran. This is the nature of kufr: it fights in the path of ṭāghūt, whose ultimate leader is none other than Shayṭān, as defined by Allāh. And the strategy of Shayṭān is, in reality, extremely weak. Kufr constantly seeks alliances for reassurance because it is ignorant and cut off from the ultimate source of power, Allāh. It relies on numbers, coalitions, and political manoeuvring because it has no true anchor. The believers, however, are different. Allāh is their Mawlā, their Protector and Guardian. They do not depend upon worldly alliances but upon the One who controls the heavens and the earth. At moments like these, when the reality of the world becomes clearer, my conviction in the Qur’ān, the Sīrah, and the truth of Islam only increases many times over.

The dunya, in its entirety, is a form of ‘fasting’ for the people of taqwā. Their 'Eid al-Fitr' is the day they meet their Lord. May Allah make us among them. Āmīn.

Never forget the Mujāhidīn of Gaza who exposed to the Ummah the true reality of the Zionist state. At a time when the very wall of the Ummah was on the verge of collapse, they rose and restored strength, dignity, and honour. They awakened a sleeping Ummah, not through words, but through sacrifice: their blood, their children, their homes, and everything they possessed. While many spoke, they acted. While many watched, they stood firm. The Prophet ﷺ taught us that one can save oneself from the Fire even by giving half a date in charity. Then what of those who gave everything, their lives, their families, and their very existence — for the sake of Allāh and in defence of the third holiest site in Islām? History is not written by comfort, but by sacrifice. And Gaza has rewritten the narrative of this Ummah. And as for the arrogant powers of this world, one must ask: how will armies enter lands like Iran when they have already tasted humiliation and resistance in places such as Somalia, Iraq, and Afghanistan? The illusion of invincibility has long been shattered. Wallāhi! no enemy of Allāh and His Rasūl ﷺ possesses the resolve to stand before true conviction. Strength is not in weapons alone, but in īmān. Fear is not instilled by machinery, but by certainty in Allāh. The battlefield has always proven one reality: when faith is firm, no force on earth can break it.

The silence is deafening. The very same British imams and ‘Islamic’ organisations, including registered charities, who once found their voices so quickly, so passionately—when it came to condemning Mujāhidīn of this Ummah, now appear utterly muted in the face of something far more grave. Where are they now? Where is that same urgency, that same fire, that same moral outrage? We are confronted with a disturbing reality: hundreds of individuals with ties to the IDF are walking freely among us in Britain. Individuals who have been part of a military apparatus that has targeted—and continues to target—civilians, women, children, and even aid workers. Yet there is no unified outcry. No consistent condemnation. No principled stance. Instead, what do we witness? Activists, many of whom have done nothing more than speak, post, or share—are being investigated, harassed, and in some cases imprisoned. Words are treated as crimes, while far more serious allegations are met with silence. What kind of pathetic unjust system is this, where speaking out against oppression carries greater consequences than being associated with it?

Each will be held accountable for what they said and did. This 'mufti' now musters the courage to openly say “Israel” only after facing backlash, along with the usual nonsense from such celebrity speakers about “spreading khayr” and avoiding “negativity”. In reality, forbidding evil comes with hardship, a burden they are unwilling to bear.
