@EcNmHc @corn_porkNbeans You’re not wrong. But if inputs were purchased before wartime prices, $5 corn looks a bit different if a farm can yield. $7 corn usually means inputs will rise in the coming years, making it tougher for highly leveraged farms..or farms that don’t manage inputs well.

You learn real quick in agriculture: Nobody’s coming to save you. With negative markets, inflated inputs, war on the way we do things(herbicides, nitrates, etc), cancer rate blames, & one of the highest rates of suicide this hits home more than ever. It feels like everyone is against us.
