Today, we pause to honor the brave men and women who have worn our nation’s uniform and those who continue to serve our communities in law enforcement.
The Fraternal Order of Police proudly recognizes the many veterans among our ranks who answered the call to defend our country and now protect our neighborhoods with the same courage, discipline, and commitment.

Not sure what this guy’s plan was, but challenging our officer to a foot race was not his best idea.
A #WPD officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop after observing this man run a red light at 100th Ave and Wadsworth Pkwy. The driver decided to pull into a parking lot and challenged our officer to a foot race which he lost. It turns out the driver also had two active warrants and was in possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arrested and transported to the Jefferson County Jail on additional charges.

***NEWS RELEASE***
WESTMINSTER, Colo — The Westminster Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in an investigation related to a criminal mischief incident that occurred over the weekend.
On Saturday, May 3, just before 1 a.m., officers responded to a report of criminal mischief near W Church Ranch Blvd and Wadsworth Blvd. A woman reported that while driving on Church Ranch Blvd beneath the Zephyr St overpass, a large white object appeared to fall from above and struck her windshield, cracking it. She told police she was unsure what the object was and did not see who was responsible.
Around the same time, another driver reported a similar incident while passing under the Zephyr St overpass. They stated they heard something strike the roof of their vehicle and believed it may have been Styrofoam cups filled with liquid. No damage was observed, and no injuries were reported in either case.
Officers searched the area, but did not locate any potentially involved individuals. Anyone who may have surveillance footage, dashcam video, or any other information relevant to the incident is asked to contact the Westminster Police Department at 303-658-4360.
We take these incidents very seriously and will not tolerate this behavior. Public safety is our top priority, and we urge everyone to recognize the severe risks and legal consequences of such reckless actions. If you witness anyone throwing objects at vehicles, call 911 immediately.
It should be noted all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
