In 2014, one of my twins was stillborn. Last week I finally opened letters my students wrote me while on maternity leave. As I endure the rocky waves of divorce, this note reminded me: I need my students just as much as they need me. I found her on IG and thanked her. #grateful

@WestsidehsTeach I lost a twin too, & I am so sorry you went through the same thing. I had several kids write me notes during that hard time, and I kept them. You do need your students sometimes just as much as they need you. This is priceless ❤️
