I came across a video of a student signing out. Someone posted a video of her and her wigs to mock her because they weren't "original" hair. Ironically, the post backfired and several hair vendors started gifting her wigs. What surprised me wasn't the gifts, it was the comments. Instead of appreciating the vendors' kindness, many people were telling them they should have given her cash to start a business instead. This mindset reflects a lack of gratitude and an unhealthy sense of entitlement. They chose to give from their heart not your mindset and that's already a generous act. It's easy to tell others what they should have done when you're contributing nothing but opinions. Sometimes, saying "thank you" costs nothing. It's funny how the loudest critics are often the ones who didn't give anything at all.
