This moment has been 5 years in the making and marks 4 years since I quit my job to enter Web3 full time to build @EtherealLabs_. We’ve worked with many chains and projects over the years, but building on Base has been an absolute pleasure. In a recent interview, @TimDraper said he prefers Bitcoin over gold because gold doesn't work as a medium of exchange because you can't shave some gold off your bar and order a cappuccino. Somehow Draper, a knowledgeable crypto investor, doesn't realize you can tokenize gold.

Among the people who don't get enough recognition for their contributions to gaming history, I often think Chris Sawyer falls into that group. There was a time when I couldn't wait to get home, disappear into my room, and build the most awesome roller coaster park. What Sawyer created with RollerCoaster Tycoon will forever be part of iconic gaming history. He developed the game more or less by himself (insane skill!), a pretty rare feat in 1999 when big studios and large teams were the norm. Sawyer coded the original in assembly language, creating realistic coaster physics, guests with individual needs, and - of course - chaos like vomiting or ride breakdowns. The sweet "ka-ching" of fees lives rent-free in my head. What an absolutely brilliant sandbox-like game, with practically endless replay value, similar to games like Sim City or Civilization.

Everyone seems to be mad about this, the one sub per character limit & compares it to the WoW sub. However, you have to remember there is zero MTX in OSRS. I'd rather an increase in membership price than the predatory practices of MTX. Keep on keeping on @OldSchoolRS. 🐐

If you are ever needing a translation tool, I highly suggest using @DeepLcom. It gives far more natural responses than Google Translate. Although Google Translate is still the 🐐 for video/photo translation.

This @X update removing dark mode is tone deaf. Why would you ever remove customisation for users? Apparently it was breaking things… when? I’ve been using it like this for 5 years at least. Revert this please!

The only thing slowing development on Claude now is how often it has to compact to reset the context window. Moving to running Claude on CLI helps, but this will be a huge unlock when resolved.

Paying for ChatGPT solely because Claude can't generate a decent image. That's it. That's the only reason. Anthropic fixes this and it's over for OpenAI.
